Candlelight
Teddy music: Vertical Horizon - Best I Ever Had
I've gotten into the habit of lighting up these three scented candles I bought when I'm doing my quiet time or just reflecting in my room.
The fragrance of lavender, vanilla and rose is soothing. Weird combination it may be, but I like it that way.
Just like how I'm greeted with the fresh citrusy scent of bergamot whenever I open my food cabinet (thanks to the box of Earl Grey teabags) =)
So now it's the second week of lectures and tutes begin as well. Me wonders what's in store. One unit (they're not called "subjects" here) has a heck of a lot reading prior lectures - that is, if you bother reading up.
Seems like there's a flu bug going round. Kelvin got a really bad case of sore throat and runny nose but he seems to be improving. Myself, still waking up with a froggy throat but it gets better over the day. That and chugging down lots of water.

Settling down into life here. Feeling pretty comfortable living on ressies.
It is a bit of bother to always have to note down what groceries need to be bought weekly. My 3-litre bottle of mik seems to vanish within just a week. The 2-litre juice carton as well. Hehe. I likes me milk and juice. ;P
Besides that, Kelvin and I have been watching heaps of Naruto anime. ;P I never thought I'd get to this stage. But surprisingly, it's not bad. And, the company's good. Especially with Baby Wombat and Mr Wombat around (that's what I named his two wombat toys - they are the cutest wombat toys ever!).

I'm really glad that God gave me a great housemate like Kelvin. Hehe...it's nice to have someone you can go to when bored. He willingly lets me hang out in his room and we'll usually end up eating dinner together if I'm not having a general dinner with the other collegemates.

I'm hoping to settle down into a proper programme of being able to fit in squash, jogging and perhaps swimming later on.
I forgot how much fun squash is although it'll need more practice before I get better. And, got to get used to whacking the racquet into the side of the wall. o.O
As for jogging, I've got Kelvin as a buddy. Last week, we went jogging with two other friends. If it wasn't for him, I really think I would've given up as soon as we reached New Ressies after doubling back. We probably jogged about 2 km and a bit more. Phoo...
Teddy music: Gavin DeGraw - More Than Anyone [Live]
Swimming is something I hope to do when Kelvin and Ivo have signed up for classes at CISAC (Canberra Institute of Sports and Aquatic Centre). I don't need classes but I do need someone to walk with me to CISAC. Although it's only about 15 minutes walk from the ressies, I'd feel safer with another person.
I really like it here. I'm not homesick at all. I'm only family/friend-sick. The only reason that could probably convince me to go back are the family and friends in Malaysia. Even then, I'm not sure. Sorry if that sounds kinda cruel. But other than that, I'm quite happy to relocate.

I'm digressing here.
Went to see my first movie here on Friday. It was one Malaysian and three Singaporeans - Kelvin, Meryl & Anthony. What did we watch? Constantine. It was alright but some scenes were too visual for me. Those who know me well would understand what I meant by that. ;P Kelvin was amused by Meryl's and my reactions during the movie.

One thing I'm still getting used to in a sense are the serving sizes. Heh. It goes without saying.
Oh well, it's late and I've got a full day that starts early.
