Singing To A Broken Car

Teddy music: Craig David – Walking Away

Aah…my skin doesn’t feel sticky anymore. Ugh. I couldn’t wait to get home to a nice shower after eating out with family for dinner. It feels SO good to have ‘unsticky’ skin. Nice and smooth. Yeap, it’s all good. =)

Again, Streamyx has gone AWOL. *Smack, smack*

My parents and youngest bro went to Times warehouse book sale. Bought a ton of books! Yippee! New books waiting to be read. My dad asked me what type of books I wanted (since I’d be at Mantissa for the rehearsal in the morning) but I didn’t really know (or care) what genre they were as long as it’s not:

a) Horror --> I get creeped easily in a sense…cannot sleep after that, thanks to my wild & vivid imagination…I’ll have insomnia for several days
b) Boring fiction --> I’ll read most anything that’s interesting, irrespective of genre

Teddy music: 12 Stone - Home

Well, I came home to a 1.5 feet of stacked books for me in my bedroom. All for under RM50. Bargains, eh? Haha. Last night, I’d told my dad to pick books that are sort of like CSI (the forensics science show…it’s damn cun!) and there’s several crime books. There’s this really thick book called “The Mammoth Book of True Crime”. I think Sean might be interested in it. =)

The interesting part is…only yesterday (or the day before) I’d changed my current reading material section to read: “Nothing…someone get me books!” And ta-dah! A whole stack of books waiting to be devoured by a thirsty brain. Although, the sad part is that I won’t be able to spend several hours in a book thanks to assignments and jobs that’re demanding my time. Don’t forget preparing for exams!

Teddy music: Jay Chou – Wei Lian Gu Bao

My clothes are done in the washing machine. I think I’ll attend to it later when I’ve finished blogging this. I’m actually using Microsoft Word to type ‘cuz I’ll have to resort to using Jaring dial-up again (no thanks to Streamyx) so I don’t want to waste precious Internet time typing. The time is now 9.53pm.

Teddy music: Blue – Fly By

Today was the 2nd rehearsal at Mantissa Institute. Supposedly we were to meet up at 9.30am for a quick warm-up but since Mel was late (as usual) we didn’t get to warm-up until just before the rehearsal. Actually, the rehearsal only started at 11am and only our group, another group (or more like, the 2 guys playing guitar) and another guy were present. The dancers and the guy who could sing so beautifully (we loved his voice so much…it’s so rich and powerful, like Josh Groban! And…he’s only 16!!) weren’t there. We were kind of disappointed we couldn’t get to hear the ‘Josh Groban’ guy sing again. =(

Teddy music: Vitamin C – Graduation Song

Anyways, we didn’t perform too well during our rehearsal since we messed up quite a bit. I’m sure Penn would’ve drowned us in her words of sarcasm. I guess we were still too hyper after laughing our guts out during a crazy conversation prior our turn. All kinds of crap we threw out in that conversation. Stuff like the games we used to play when in primary school, the funny rhymes used to choose people for games and X-rated stuff too. Mel’s brother was telling us that there were guys in the same room but we just told him that it doesn’t matter ‘cuz we don’t care who hears it. =) Oh yeah, we were the only bunch of girls today. The rest were all guys. Actually, there was one point that Eugene was standing near us listening and I happened to mention that our conversation was “25-SX so you’d better go away” but he went and stepped nearer! Funny guy, that fella. =)

Teddy music: The Temptations – Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch

He’s very patient with us. And compliments us on our singing far too much. Pai seh, wei! A certain RainMaker was unmerciful in her teasing at him. After the rehearsal, he was asking us if we could go to Concorde Hotel at 11am instead of 2pm. Then, Anrie said, “Sure, we’ll be there at 12pm. Oh yea, is lunch provided?” Then it started la the crapping about we won’t go if there’s no lunch provided and bla bla bla. All in fun, really. Poor Eugene kept saying so many times, “OK, so 11am this Friday” until when we wanted to leave, Anrie piped up with “I suppose you really want to ‘11pm this Friday’, right?” Then, everyone laughed cuz Eugene had been repeating it throughout the crazy conversation we had with him and his fellow committee member, Rafiq.

Teddy music: Bon Jovi – Say It Isn’t So

Rafiq’s a funny guy too. He was trying to be helpful by suggesting we RainMakers put a little movement into our singing since we’re kind of ‘rigid’. Yeah, we really need to work on that. He was doing this funny little swaying movement with his arms. Gosh, we were laughing until Jase had to re-pitch several times before we could actually start singing. It was even harder NOT to laugh during our songs when he and the rest of the guys (the ‘audience’) started doing funny swaying movements in an effort to get us ‘moving’.

Teddy music: Blue – Temptation

I remember this really crazy part of the conversation we had after the rehearsal at Mantissa. Jo suggested we go to Liquid after our performance at the prom nite. Then, several of us were like, “Why? Don’t want la…go somewhere else lar. Boring for us. We don’t really want to see guys making out with each other or girls doing that either.” Anrie was saying that it’s even worse to see a cute guy making out with another guy. She also said that it ‘hurts’ when you see a cute guy that you can’t ‘have’ since he’s already gay…unless he’s bisexual. We said that Rafiq and Eugene could go together and pretend they’re gay if they were approached by any guys at Liquid. We kidded around saying stuff like, “Yea, you could say that ‘I’m with Gene-Gene (Eugene). He’s my man!” Crazy hor?

Teddy music: Jay Chou – An Jing

Then, we started throwing around ideas of where else to go. Someone said “What about Emporium?” Then Rafiq said that he mostly sees 15 year old girls there who are ‘just learning to put on makeup and stuff’. He proceeded to tell us about how they would wear spaghetti strap tops with ‘granny bra straps’ showing. Yknow, the flesh-toned ones. Eww…what a fashion faux pas! They don’t even have the sense to wear the transparent straps! He then said that one should go and snap the bra straps from behind. *Snap* *Snap* Then, faster run away! He’s mad, I tell you! Wahaha. Then, I said that if Rafiq’s with Eugene, you could go and blame him (and get slapped by the girl as well) by saying, “Eugene! How could you do that?” before running away. Then, Eugene hammed it up by acting like he’d been slapped really hard in the face. Haha. We’re a nutty bunch of people.

Teddy music: Will Smith – Black Suits Comin’

After rehearsal, us RainMakers (except for Yenn who had to go home by 12.30pm) had lunch at KFC nearby in TTDI. Sitting opposite us was this incredibly annoying bunch of assholes. They were actually listening in on our conversation and making fun of us! Idiots, really? They couldn’t really see us because there was this partition thingy with plants that blocked their view of us. Can you believe it? One of those idiots actually had the gall to purposely walk over to our side just so they could see who we were? Whack those stupid people!! All of us were damn pissed off with them. Some of us wanted to show the finger to them but controlled ourselves. Some more, they weren’t even ‘cun’ guys to look at. They were UGLY! Yechhh!!

Teddy music: Matchbox Twenty – Back 2 Good

Later, Jase and I went to Sean’s place. I needed to do some work with him on a newsletter design. Jase just wanted to hang out there for a while. Poor gal! She ended up ‘hanging out’ there until 7pm cuz her car wouldn’t start when she wanted to leave about 3pm something. Had to call her dad and later AAM. Her car’s ‘tien pan’ (the electrical board for starting up the engine) was spoilt so the car had to be towed back to her home in Bangsar. She said she had a nice time riding in the tow truck and that the driver was friendly.

Seems that she always has some kind of problem with her car. Funny.

Teddy music: The Corrs – Rebel Heart

Oh well, my mom’s calling me again about my washed clothes. Better go hang them out fast!

It's Finished! Muahaha

Teddy music: Sweet Home Alabama (A Cappella)

O yeah! *punches teddy fist in air*

I'm finally done with the radio assignment! It's all put together nicely now and finished listening to the burned CD to check for skips. Aaaaa.....finally, that monkey's off my back liao. Relief!

I am feeling so sorry for Ee-Lin. Why? Cuz she's finally encountered the roommate from hell. Literally. Just missing a pair of horns, a spiked tail and a trident. Oh, don't forget the burning smell of fire and brimstone and swirling smoke.

Teddy music: Jay Chou - Wan Mei Zu Yi

Watched 'Johnny English' VCD that Thomas lent. It's funny in a stupid way ala Mr Bean. I think everyone knows that when they watch it.

The workload is still not over yet. Still need to do newsletter layout for a job tomorrow at Sean's place after rehearsal at Mantissa. I so wanna sleep in on a Saturday morning!! =( Also, still haven't gotten round to do the ads for my group's Marketing Management assignment! Waaa...

Later I'm going to watch CSI & Scrubs on the telly. =)

There's something I don't quite understand. Why do people say, "I'll call you. Promise!" when they don't in the end? Sucky really. Especially guys. Not that I'm targetting any guys in particular but it seems to be a lot more frequent coming from that gender. Don't mean to piss anyone off, k?

Teddy music: Jay Chou - An Hao

Now, if anyone tells me that they'll call me back, I just go, "Yea, OK, whatever." and don't really bother about it anymore. If they didn't call back, I just tell myself that they've probably forgotten or are too busy or just don't want to call back. Fine with me. Besides, if they really need to call, they'll call, right?

I admit, I'm guilty of it sometimes when I've forgotten. Really. Fair's fair.

I rest my case.

Teddy music: Crazy Town - Butterfly

Last night...I was the Super Sneezer. Yes, I was sneezing so hard that I think I actually couldn't hear anything for a split second. I was on the phone with a friend when I sneezed and I couldn't hear anything!! Yikes.

Baby Steps To Mandarin

Winamp is blaring: Tony Leung & Andy Lau - Infernal Affairs (Mandarin version)

Aaah...so nice to have Winamp blasting in the background! =)

Still using 56k dial-up to connect to the Internet...Streamyx is behaving very badly...*smack, smack*

First, to answer Ee-Lin's comment about 'Hedgehog'...er...no idea lor. He calls me 'Teddy' so I just called him 'Hedgehog' back...have no idea why it's like that. =)

Winamp is blaring: Ah Du - Yi Ge Ren Zhu

I've decided that I want to learn how to speak some Mandarin. Really, it's disgraceful (for me at least...I dunno about others) that I as a Chinese can't speak Mandarin to save my soul. Alright, alright...so I know a few phrases. Let me list it out for you (be forewarned, my han yue pin yin sucks therefore I shall just type out the pronounciation and translation):

Winamp is blaring: Matchbox Twenty - All I Need

1. Wo ai ni - I love you <-- This just so happens to be the phrase that I can say almost perfectly! Ironic, huh?
2. Ni hen pen - You're stupid <-- Basic way of scolding...hehe
3. Ni hen chung ming - You're clever <-- Good way to cover up if 'You're stupid' accidentally came out...*grin*
4. Ni mei you tui ar? - You don't have legs ar? <-- My mum lar...play scolding us kids
5. Wo pu ming pai - I don't understand <-- Very good for acting blur
6. Wo pu tse tau - I don't know <-- Universal for general blurness

Winamp is blaring: Matchbox Twenty - Push (Acoustic)

There you go...the few phrases that haven't escaped from my sieve-like mind. Anyway, I've got the dinner gang to help teach me Mandarin in a way. Although, I'm quite sure they get a real kick out of hearing me mispronounce and destroy Mandarin. Oh well, practice makes perfect, I guess. Gonna need to carry a little notebook to jot down Mandarin phrases.

Seng & Thomas also suggested listening to lots of Mandarin songs to get the feel of the words...even though I wouldn't understand at first. Might give that a try...once I find nice Mandarin songs to listen to. Currently, I've only got songs from Tony Leung, Leslie Cheung and Jay Chou.

Here's some pix of my seniors

This one is Seng & Shuk Khuen.
seng, shuk khuen copy.jpg

This is of Shuk Khuen, myself & Thomas.
shuk khuen, ck, thomas (2) copy.jpg

Winamp is blaring: LiT - The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Today, went to my Marketing Management group member's home to take some photos for our advertising campaign...when it's done I'll post them up (also if Streamyx begins behaving again!)

Got Seng & Thomas to tag along. I asked Seng to come 'cuz he could help with taking the photos since he's quite experienced in the photography field. Spent about 2 hours there.

Winamp is blaring: Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply

After the photo-taking session, Jase and I had to go back to college for a photo session for IACT's new ads. It took about 1 1/2 hours before we were done! I was SO hungry when it was 7.30pm. The dinner gang had already eaten so they were just sitting around at Uptown Hawkers chatting, in Mandarin of course. Penn (our lecturere who was also the photographer) got Jase & myself to pose all kinds of ways. I even had to 'climb' on the back of a chair...that's the best way I can describe it. But in the end, there were a few nice shots. Just hope that they choose the ones Jase & I think are nice otherwise it'll be like *ugh*.

Winamp is blaring: Evanescence - I Believe In You

I hate having to be relegated to 56k...but at time like this, what can one do but make do?

Oh yea...remember I said that I had singing practice on Tuesday night at Mel's place? Well, ended up that we didn't even practice a full round! Why? We ended up watching the last episode of 'Roswell' from 9-10pm, then sat in Mel's room talking about old hit songs, old cartoon series and TV dramas (Chinese/English). Funny bunch we are, aren't we? Hehe.

Anyways, this Saturday will be the full-dress rehearsal at Mantissa Institute. Again, remember to wear layers of clothing!! Don't wanna freeze my butt off!

Winamp is blaring: Lifehouse - Hanging By A Moment

Goodness, it's actually taken me more than 15 minutes to retrieve my email via POP3...nearly 40 emails to retrieve although more than half of it was junk crap. I hate spam email!

Winamp is blaring: Sister Hazel - Change Your Mind

Lemme think, what else is there to say? Nothing much lor...except that I just sewed up a hole in one of my cargo pants pockets. Now I can wear it with peace of mind! Tomorrow will be going to college at 8am with 'The Breakfast Club' people (Jase, myself and Sean). Gosh, it's been ages since we've had breakfast together since this semester most of our classes only start around 12pm. =) Too bad not everyone gets to have just a 6-hour study week like a certain someone. =)

Alright, alright...enough for now. *teddy hugs*

The Countdown Begins

Winamp is blaring: Nothing - Cuz there ain't no Winamp on college computers

Sigh...it's weird blogging without Winamp blasting something in the background. But, what to do when you're forced to blog using college computers? Sucks majorly.

Anyway, to make up for the lack of Winamp, I'll just use whatever is playing in my head.

Music in the teddy's head: Garbage - Cherry Lips

Right now we're getting started. Gosh, I just realised I've not blogged for nearly a week now. One factor would be due to busyness and another would be because my Streamyx connection has somehow gone and died. Wonderful isn't it? Can't use the 56k connection cuz there's like RM2 left in the account and my dad hasn't topped it up yet.

Music in the teddy's head: Matchbox Twenty - Unwell

Guess what? I came into my college's library to discover that someone had broken in! Scary... =|

Anyways, tonight I'll be having another singing practice. Wow...it's only 10 more days or so til May 2...when we have to perform at Mantissa's prom nite! Time to panic! Waaaaaa

OK, OK. So we shouldn't panic...not good. Hehe. Something I've been trying to control in myself. Anyways, we went to Mantissa last Saturday cuz the prom committee wanted to hear/watch the performers. Ths Saturday we're going there again for the 1st full dress rehearsal. On May 2 itself (next Friday), we've got to go to Concorde Hotel for the final full dress rehearsal.

Music in the teddy's head: Linkin Park - Don't Stay

Last Saturday, we were told to be at Mantissa Institute by 10am...the committee members only arrived at...11am! It's friggin' cold in Mantissa...must remember to wear warm clothing for this Saturday!

A funny thing kinda happened after the rehearsal at Mantissa. Mel's bro who's the same age as Jase and myself, I think his name is Eugene, told us we were "really really good" but we Rainmakers were like, "Damn layan right? You hear us every week!" Then everyone ended up laughing. Funny lar that guy.

Also, he and another guy (who's the events manager in the committee) were asking us how many people we wanted to bring to the prom nite (just so they could see us in 'action'). We were kidding around by saying stuff like, "Well, we really need to go back and see our 'fanbase' cuz there's so 'many' fans that wanna see us perform." I know, I know...it's kinda presumptous but still...it's all in the name of fun. =) In the end, they told us that we could bring only 10 people. Oh well, should be alright since we're not really bringing along every Tom, Dick and Harry. *wink, wink*

Music in the teddy's head: Lemon Tree

Yesterday, there was this audition for Mandarin-speaking people at my college. It's for some short film that Red Communications is making for some Singaporean competition. Me being bored after an agency meeting, I accompanied Jase and several other classmates who were trying out for the audition. Fang was there cuz she was helping Red Comm. to find people. Kena kutuk in a friendly way from her. It went something along the lines of this:

Fang: What're you doing here?
Me: Bored mah. So I wanna be a penyibuk. Cannot ar?
Fang: Can! Who say cannot?
*laughter*

She said that if I was still around when she finished the auditions, we might go 'yum cha' together but I was tired after my friends had finished auditioning so decided to go home after dropping off Erin at her place. Too bad I missed out on a 'yum cha' session with Fang.

Music in the teddy's head: Celine Dion - I Drove All Night

This is in response to Paul's weird dream recently...you seriously need to clear your head, hedgehog! Interesting how you could dream about me when we've never met! Dreams are always strange...

I found out my best friend from high school, Elaine, was back in KL so called her up for a long chat...missed those long talks!! Thanks especially for listening to me rant about something last night...*teddy hugs*

18 Hours Awake

Winamp is blaring: Better Than Ezra - Good

Wow...this an old song I've not heard in quite a while. Found it while searching for another song that I've forgotten its name. Heh.

Winamp is now blaring: Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong

Anyways, I didn't blog for the past 3 days or so cuz frankly, I've been too tired and busy to. Even for a short while. And, it didn't appeal to me to be typing in blog entries at college even though I could've done that.

Yesterday I was up from 6 am til 1.30am the next day. Fuh. I totally crashed out when I went to sleep cuz I had to get up at 8am for a 9am group meeting at college. I was so zonked out that I didn't even hear a SMS when my group member sent me one about 7.45am. I guess I must've pressed 'Cancel' in my sleep or what. Luckily, I heard the alarm otherwise I would so die if I'm late!

Winamp is now blaring: Dave Matthews Band - Ants Marching (A Cappella)

My mom's back from Korea. She bought clothes for me! Wahaha. It's strange really how people always seem to like the stuff I have. In actual fact, it's not me who buys it...it's always other people who gives it! Indeed, I feel very blessed. Haha. =)

Winamp is now blaring: 12 Stones - Home

Oh yeah, about the 18-hour-awake-trip, wow...I'm still recuperating from lack of sleep. Yea, yea, I know there's plenty of others who've had less sleep than me but still I'm not used to having that little sleep to function on. I actually spent about 12-13 hours at college, from 9am to 9.30pm!

Aih...alot of stuff to do already. Wonder how come it's always that when you've got nothing to do, there'll be nothing to be done. But, when you've got stuff to handle, MORE stuff will come! Murphy's Law at work I suppose.

Winamp is now blaring: BeeGees Medley (A Cappella)

A freakish thing seems to happen within the members of The Rainmakers. Qutie often, we'll end up wearing similar colours or there'll be pairs of colours. Take our practice on Wednesday night for example. 3 of us wore different shades of blue, 2 wore black and one wore red. There was one time all of us ended up in different shades of red! Sometimes, just for kicks, when waiting for a member to arrive, we'll guess what colour she'll be wearing! Great minds think alike. Wahaha.

Winamp is now blaring: The Corrs - Rebel Heart

Today's recording session was completely screwed up. And next week is our last session which means do or die, it has to be done then! Wargh! We wasted an hour waiting for our lecturer to come and fix a problem with one of the machines (it wouldn't play any sounds) 'cuz we were instructed from the beginning to not simply press anything in case we 'accidentally' destroy the machines or presets.

Hopefully, we can get everything done by next week. *Fingers crossed*

Winamp is now blaring: Scandal'us - Me, Myself And I

Today, for Marketing Management, we watched the movie 'Interstate 60' which stars James Marsden. He's such a good-looking actor! Hehe. The movie was interesting in the way that it made you think how life is really a series of choices, good or bad. I won't say what happened in the movie in case I spoil it for some people. *wink, wink*

Winamp is now blaring: Son Of Man

On Wednesday night, I had dinner with my seniors (Thomas, Sze Seng & Addy) and Sim Miao again. Having dinner with those guys is therapeutic in a way. Why? 'Cuz they'll crap so much until you can't help but laugh at them and so doing, release tension/sadness from the day. Honestly, I wasn't feeling too 'up' after such a long day as well as because of personal affairs.

Went and disturbed Seng by taking out his money and 'giving' it to Sim Miao who went and 'gave' to Addy. Hehe. In the end, Seng got his money back. We're not evil people, yknow. *innocent look*

Winamp is now blaring: Gorillaz - 19-2000

I like this song's beat. *bops head*

After dinner, I had to go back to college for singing practice (to show Penny). When they dropped me off at the entrance, I jokingly asked if anyone wanted to accompany me until the rest of The Rainmakers arrived. Seng, being the joker he is, came up and said, "CK, I'll give you my 'head' support!" Then, he went and pushed his head against my head! Crazy nut. But, I much rather prefer him in his funny mood than when he's upset/stressed.

Winamp is now blaring: Blue - Back To You

Awow...tomorrow there's a creative briefing by GreyTwo for this Kent Limited Edition packaging design competition. Gotta be in college by 3pm. Haih.

Oh yes, 4 or 5 of my old friends were so nice to call/SMS/email me their congratulations after they saw the article in The Star about the AdWave competition that Jase & I joined last time. Hehe. I finally got the number of an old friend so I'm happy about that. I lost her number last time and there was no way of me getting it again but *yay*, I've got it now! Haha.

Winamp is now blaring: 5ive - Let's Dance

Right...I just showered and finished watching 'Bridget Jones' Diary'. Me thinks I'd better go and check my group members' work for Marketing Management assignment.

Winamp is now blaring: 12 Stones - Broken

I forgot to mention that I went for Swensen's ice cream at SS2 after singing practice with Jase. I treated her to ice cream...actually, she wouldn't let me buy one for her only so we ended up sharing a Gold Rush and fries. We reached there early cuz supposedly we were to meet up with the usual 'yum cha' gang but most of them didn't arrive til after midnight. Darren came after we called him and he couldn't see Jase & I hiding in the booth seats near the back of Swensen's at first. He actually went out and Jase had to go call him in. Izal arrived a bit later and scared the daylights out of Darren by jumping on him and screaming at the same time when we were walking out of Swensen's. Scared Jase & myself too. Naughty Izal!

Winamp is now blaring: The Flying Pickets - Summer In The City

We walked over to Coffeebean but didn't see anyone there except for Ezrin who was also waiting for Sean, Pam and Leng to arrive. Jase and I left about 11.45pm cuz she had to send me home (so nice of her!). Darren, Izal and Ezrin went to SS2 Murni to wait for the rest since CoffeeBean was closing soon.

Fade In, Fade Out, Tweak Here, Tweak There

Winamp is blaring: Matchbox Twenty - Unwell

The song's title makes me think of the recent chickenpox spread that's happening in my class. Darren was the first to get it then now tww more classmates have fallen ill with it. At least it's not SARS. =)

My leg's itchy. Don't ask me why. *Scratch, scratch* I've already had the chickenpox. I think it's due to the chair's fabric I'm sitting on. It's scratchy. Hmm.

I'm watching 'Double Tap' on and off. Popping in out of my bedroom to see bits of the movie. Leslie Cheung is such a great actor. Or, more like, was a great actor.

Winamp is now blaring: Evanescence - My Last Breath

Today, I went for a 40-minute walk with my dad at KLCC park. It's actually quite nice when the sun's just rising and still relatively cool (until 8pm that is). Later, took Putra LRT to college. Something I've not done for quite a while. At least, it was during the off-peak hours (about 11pm). I hate it when it's peak hours. Bloody cramped! Wargh!!

Came home from college and started audio editing the interviews my group did for the radio assignment. Took me about 4-5 hours to put the pieces together. Still sounds rather amateurish but what do you expect from a freshie like me? =)

Winamp is now blaring: Jessica Andrews - Who I Am

This is quite a nice song. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me but still, it's nice to listen to. =)

Dunno why I'm still feeling a little lethargic lately. Must try and get out of it. Not good at all.

"It'll Be Ready By Thursday."

Winamp is blaring: Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One

Well, the grand total's in. It's costing my dad RM3000 in repairs for the car which includes:

1. Mechanical fixing - fixing the wheel's arm, rewiring of back door's window & door mechanism
2. Bodywork & paintwork
3. General servicing

There you go. So, the car won't be ready 'til Thursday which means that I'll have to follow my dad down in the mornings when he drops my youngest brother off at school.

By the way, the amount of repairs I'm responsible for is about half the amount 'cuz the car had other previous problems that my dad decided to do something of a major overhaul on the car.

Winamp is now blaring: Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow

I don't know why but I've been rather tired since Friday. Could be due partly to the anxiety stress I've been having since the accident as well as not enough sleeping hours throughout the week. Sigh. Slept for about 4 hours today after coming back from church. It rained during that time. Lovely weather to sleep.

Actually, I had weird dreams while sleeping earlier but can't really remember. But I do recall something of going on a cruise ship with Jase and another person 'cuz we were supposed to cover LiT's performance that night. Yeah, yeah, some of you are probably going like, "What? Weird!"

Winamp is now blaring: Linkin Park - Session

Haih...I'm kind of worried how my mom will react when she comes back from Korea and finds out about how I totalled the car. *Shiver* I'll probably be hearing no end of it for at least 2-3 days. =(

I really didn't feel like blogging on Saturday 'cuz I was feeling too low and tired. Depression. That word is the 'hottest' word now especially since Leslie Cheung's suicide is linked with it.

Winamp is now blaring: Leslie Cheung - Yit Lat Lat

The song that's playing now is a Chinese version of 'Lady Marmalade' if I'm not mistaken. Didn't realise it until it was playing on computer one day. I was like, "Hmm, that sounds eerily familiar."

Winamp is now blaring: The Corrs - So Young

I need to go find a 2.5mm plug 'cuz the minicassette-tape recorder my dad has, has a smaller than usual plug holes. Wargh! Now I can't do any audio editing 'til Monday. I just hope it doesn't take too long.

Oh yes, before I completely forget (which has been happening lately...thank goodness for my trusty organiser!), thanks a million to those who gave words of support. Really, truly appreciate! *Teddy hugs*

Winamp is now blaring: 12 Stones - In My Head

Well, Kev's gone back to Singapore. Dropped him off at the KTM station and waited with him 'til about 10.15am 'cuz my dad needed to get back to church in time for the 2nd service since he's serving as one of the musicians. Had a little nap while waiting. So dog tired.

By the way, Grace Assembly has now launched its own website. It's about time, I say!

Winamp is now blaring: The Corrs - Dreams

Saturday I had my Marketing Management group meeting. Spent about 3 1/2 hours. Started about 3pm cuz 3 of my members (Izal, Leng, Pamela) got lost trying to find their way to Miew Teng's house. Was there early at 2pm (the supposedly appointed time) thanks to a lift from Sean. =) Anyways, we made good progress, I think, 'cuz we're nearly done with our marketing plan for Yves Saint Laurent. Hopefully on Monday, we'll be able to finish up the action programs & controls as well as the BCG matrix. For those of you who're wondering what the hell I'm talking about, well, if you're studying marketing, you should be familiar with these terms. For those who aren't, well, erm...sorry! Either that, or you go check out the textbook, Marketing Management by Philip Kotler (Prentice-Hall). Warning: It's a HEAVY book!

Right, I'm exhausted. Still feeling a little low. Oh well, perhaps things will brighten up soon. =)

Teddy hugs to all.

From Bad To Worse

Winamp is blaring: Turn On The Radio

Today was terrible.

I mentioned in a previous blog entry that I'd backed the Waja into a car about 2 weeks ago.

Well...I went and had another 'accident' with the Waja again. Only I didn't hit another car this time, thank God for that at least.

This time, it was when I trying to park the Waja into the driveway. God only knows what happened because everything happened in a blur. One moment, I was trying to get the car up the slight slope leading to the driveway. The next? I'd bashed the front corner into the driveway wall. Aiyaiyai.

I immediately jumped out of the car and inspected the damage. Well, when my dad sent it to the mechanic, they had to replace the shock absorbers, the arm that connects the wheel to the main axle of the car and the brake pads (that was only when the mechanic was checking the car...not my doing, ok?). I'm not sure what else I left out. I think that's it. In any case, just for the mechanical cost of fixing the car, it's about RM1200. Such an ass I am for doing that to the car. =( Haven't even counted in the cost of fixing the 2 dents and paintwork on the car. Waaah! =( One small thing to give thanks for is that I didn't break the headlights. *Phew* Thank God for small mercies. Oh yeah, also the only reason why I didn't continue to crash the car into the wall was 'cuz the left front wheel hit a bag of sand my parents had left on the driveway at the side therefore stopping the car from total wreckage.

I can't even begin to tell you how stupid and guilty I felt for having 2 accidents within the space of 2 weeks. My dad is the greatest, I tell you. Okay, so he was disappointed and angry initially with me for destroying the car (his words when I called him and told him what happened: "You are the only one who's singlehandedly destroying that car; left, right and centre!")

Right. So right. Completely my own fault. Stupid, stupid me.

Winamp is now blaring: Linkin Park - Don't Stay

Anyway, after he'd returned home and inspected the damage and sent the car to the mechanic; he sat down with me and tried to make sense of how I could've crashed the car into the driveway wall. Honestly, I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I've never encountered this kind of problem before. After some pondering, I came to the conclusion that this could be a spiritual attack in a way. So, my dad and I prayed about it. I cried lor. C'mon, I was feeling so low. My dad...he was just great. He comforted me even though admittedly it was all my fault. I really don't know what I'll do without my dad. Must really think of something nice to do for his birthday and Father's Day later. =)

Winamp is now blaring: The Flying Pickets - Caravan Of Love

After I calmed down, my dad suggested I go read my Bible and meditate in prayer to help me understand as to why God allowed this kind of thing to happen. While going through the Bible, I came across this verse from the book of Job:

He (God) shall deliver you in six troubles, yes, in seven no evil shall touch you - Job 5:19

When I was reading the little description explaining the verse, it hit me that "Yeah, maybe God allowed such a thing to happen for a reason. I probably wouldn't know now but maybe I will in the future." The explanation said that God protects you in ways that you don't even realise sometimes. Sometimes when you think back to events that happened, and you see the events following it, you realise just how close you were to being in danger. I know, cuz it's happened to me before. But when I read the part that explained how God protects 'silently', I was like "Whoa!". Also, the verse's explanation had a few other Scripture references so I went to check them out. Then, this other verse also hit home:

My defense is of God, who saves the upright in heart - Psalms 7:10

The explanation for this verse is that God will protect His people who's got a right heart towards Him. It doesn't mean that one must be perfect or constantly right in doing everything. It just meant that as long as you knew that Jesus was the only person who could make everything right when you messed up and you were humble about it, God would protect you.

Winamp is now blaring: 12 Stones - Running Out Of Pain

I cried again after reading those verses. I don't know. It hit hard home. That's all I can say about that.

Winamp is now blaring: Woman

Man, it's been a rough day. When I called up Jase and told her what happened, she joked and said that I should post up pictures of the damage but I said that it's too painful to look at the car after what I did to it. Heh. Besides, what kind of image would that give of my driving skills? =)

Oh..I would like to quote Jase on this in response to my accident today:

These things happen to everyone over time but with you, it just happens in a shorter period of time.

The Yum Cha Is Now In Session

Winamp is blaring: The Flying Pickets - Summer In The City

*PHEW*

As I'm typing out this entry, I'm having to answer to 6 friends on ICQ. Can you imagine how fast my fingers are flying to answer each of them? =)

Winamp is now blaring: Janet Jackson - Together Again
Winamp is now blaring: Matchbox 20 - All I Need
Winamp is now blaring: Matchbox 20 - Feel
Winamp is now blaring: John Mayer - 83
Winamp is now blaring: Christina Aguilera - Underappreciated

No...I didn't make a mistake of putting several Winamps together...it just shows you how long it took to answer 6 people at the same time.

Anyway, as promised to Ee-Lin, I'm blogging about the 'yum cha' session I had with my friends at SS2 Murni.

I was supposed to meet my ex-schoolmate (Zeyi) and his girlfriend (Melanie) at Limkokwing because he said that's the only place in Petaling Jaya that he knows. But in the end, through his mysterious ways, he ended up at Kelana Jaya Medical Centre, which is a short distance from Limkokwing!!

Winamp is now blaring: Coldplay - Clocks

I ended up making a big round from Limkokwing but finally we reached our planned destination about 10.20pm.

Sidenote: Paul's bemoaning the fact that he can't seem to find Mountain Dew anymore.

Back to the story.

Erin was the first of my college gang to join. She just so happened to park her car a few spaces away from Zeyi's & my parking place. Hehe. So 'ngam', eh? So we went to go find a place and waited for a while. Then, Darren a.k.a Flowerhorn came along. Zeyi & Mel's first words about Darren was: "He looks very young. How old is he?" Hehe.

Winamp is now blaring: Jay Chou - Wu Ding
Winamp is now blaring: The Corrs - Say

Darren & Erin went off to meet Sean and get another table. Izal dropped by soon after. Jase came about 11+pm, I think. Erin had to leave early to meet her friends in Bangsar.

Man, it's too bad that my other schoolmates couldn't make it for tonight due to other circumstances. Another time, maybe? I hope so.

Winamp is now blaring: Celine Dion - Dreaming Of You

Alright, back to the people actually present at the 'yum cha' session. I needed the guys to help me answer questions for my group's radio assignment. The questions:

1. What's your opinion about breasts? (this got a VERY good reception from the boys)
2. What do you think of women who've lost their breast(s) to breast cancer?
3. Do you think there's enough public awareness about breast cancer in Malaysia?

Well, I was listening back to the recording. Goodness, those guys ar...talk all kinds of nonsense. I also ended up laughing by myself 'cuz there was so much laughter recorded as well!

Winamp is now blaring: All Saints - Black Coffee

Zeyi and Mel left about 11.30pm cuz they had to go back down to KL. The rest of us stayed on until about 12.20 am. Sat there and crapped like nobody's business. Hehe.

Aah. Now only handling 3 friends on ICQ. 2 of them went offline already. Now, I can really type out my blog entry. =)

Winamp is now blaring: Richard X vs Liberty X - Being Nobody

Earlier in the day, our class got 'conned' into attending a talk that we didn't even know was organised. In the end, it was OK lor. The guy was talking about multimedia and working in the real world, so to speak. It ended about 2pm and Joyce, our lecturer for Marketing Management (which we were supposed to have had during that time) VERY kindly let us go! Yay!

Winamp is now blaring: B*Witched - Rollercoaster

Jase and I went to 1 Utama to have lunch. Planned to watch a movie but ended up not watching in the end. We went to Oliver's Super Sandwiches for a late lunch (about 2 or 3pm plus by that time). Jase ordered a cheddar cheese sandwich which she ended up not really liking. Something about the texture of the cheese being 'dryish'. I gave her half of my egg mayo sandwich and took the other half of the cheese sandwich. Then, since she wasn't satisfied with the cheese sandwich, we went to Dave's Deli so she could satisfy her hunger by eating the potato salad. Haha. That girl really likes the potato salad there. =) When I mentioned that we went to Oliver's then Dave's to Sean & Darren later, they were like, "Wah! You eat so much ar?"

Winamp is now blaring: Sugar Ray - Every Morning

About the recording session for today. Well, Penny (our lecturer for Advertising & Broadcasting) took a look at our script and made some comments. Ended up that my group scrapped everything except the song request segment. Penny's comments were very helpful in guiding us in our angle. I'm not trying to suck up to her but when she commented on the script, only then I realised how much more we could really focus on. Thanks, Penn!

Winamp is now blaring: It's So Hard To Say Goodbye

Hmm...so I guess that's about it lor for this entry. Did I miss anything else? If I remember I'll add it on later. =)

...And What Do You Think?

Winamp is blaring: Aerosmith - Pink

I'm sitting here at my computer table with a glass of vitamin C liquid. Yeah, I am taking more vitamin C nowadays because of SARS as well as to keep myself healthy. Besides, my mom bought those effervescent vitamin C tablets. It's so cool to watch the fizz in the water. It's like drinking a less sweeter version of F&N orange soda. To quote a friend, "It takes so little to impress people." I totally agree with that.

Winamp is now blaring: Linkin Park - Points Of Authority

I'm bored. That's why I'm blogging for now. Heh.

Later tonight, I'll be seeing an ex-classmate, Zeyi, and his girlfriend. Haven't met them for some time liao. A few others were also supposed to come along but they had to cancel last minute. So sad. =(

It'll be the first time I've actually gone out for late night 'yum cha' with my ex-schoolmates. I'm so psyched!! Oh, and my college gang will be there too. =)

Must remember to bring along my tape recorder as I'll be needing to tape down the responses to a few questions I need to ask them for my group's radio assignment. Hehe. I can't wait to hear their responses. Will blog the questions I asked later. =)

That's all to say for now lor. Later, you'll be able to read more. Haha

This Is The Remix

Winamp is blaring: Set Adrift On Memory Bliss

Bliss is what I'm feeling now. No, I'm not high or anything. Well, maybe on adrenaline.

Winamp is now blaring: John Mayer - 3 X 5

I was having trouble burning the sound effects (SFX) I needed for my group's recording session later today at 10am. My friend, Sean, was online and I told him through ICQ that I was havin probs burning the blasted SFX cuz aHead Nero kept telling me that:

1. In .wav format - 'Nero cannot read the file'
- My reaction : WTF?? WTF?? Noooooooo......

2. In .mp3 format - 'The track must be at least 2 seconds long'
- My reaction : repeat of reaction no.1 plus banging of fists on table
and despair slowly filling me

Winamp is now blaring: Tony Leung & Andy Lau - Infernal Affairs

Look! Look! Tony Leung's name! *Swoon*

Okay la..back to the story.

I'd actually thrown together a track that was supposed to play a short intro of several songs. I used a program called 'Audacity'. It's pretty easy to use and quick to learn if you're adept. My intro track is definitely not very professional since it is my first time at sound engineering. Hehe. I could get to like sound engineering. =)

Winamp is now blaring: In The Still Of The Night

So anyway, I was wanting to burn the SFX and intro track onto a CD for tomorrow. A miscommunication happened between Sean and me 'cuz he thought I was having problems burning the intro track BUT I was really having problems burning the SFX (refer to #1 & #2 above for reasons why). So after a while, I tried not to panic (which I happen to do VERY easily...anyone who's close to me would tell you that straightaway) and think of how I could lengthen the SFX. Then, it hit me! Use 'Audacity' to add in silence to make it just over 2 seconds. Went and quickly edited and ta-dah! I could burn the tracks easy as pie!

Winamp is now blaring: Moby - In This World

After successfully burning the tracks, I popped the CD into a normal CD player and listened for any skips in the tracks. Luckily, nothing was wrong and I did a little dance of victory in my room! I was giving thanks to God that it finally worked alright! Yeah!

Then, Sean was telling me through ICQ that he'd burned the intro track for me already! Oh man, I felt so bad that he wasted a CD-R because of me! =( But he said it was OK and knowing Sean, if he says it's OK it means it's OK...kua? Hehe. Seriously, I don't mean to sound all gushy or anything, but it was great of him to burn the track for me when I didn't even ask him to! Great pal, huh? =)

Winamp is now blaring: Kelly Rowland - Can't Nobody

Sigh. My dad and I went to send my mom off at KLIA. She went on tour to Korea with my aunt and uncle. Man, saw quite a few people wearing masks there. Majority of the airline staff at the check-in counters were wearing masks too.

A surprising thing happened there. My parents had been praying earlier that my mom, aunt and uncle would have a nice time in Korea and that nothing would go wrong and stuff along the lines of that. When they were checking in at the airline counter, my parents saw a couple that I didn't recognise. It turned out to be a pastor and his wife who were also on the same tour as my mom. They used to pastor the church my family (back then, I was the only kid before my bro, Kev, came along later in 1986) attended before we changed churches. They remembered me as a 2 year old toddler who went and did the stunt of "Look-ma-I'm-jumping-off-the-pew-HEAD-FIRST!". Well, 17 years can make a big difference. Heh.

Winamp is now blaring: Savage Garden - I Want You

It was pretty cool how my mom could meet up with them at the same tour. Heh. God certainly works in mysterious ways! =)

Anyway, it's late (2am now) and I need to get up in about 5 hours to drag myself to college for early meeting before recording session!

Jam...Traffic...Strawberry

Winamp is blaring: Linkin Park - Lying From You

Right now, I'm freezing my legs 'cuz I've got the fan on speed 2 blowing cold air from the air-con towards my CPU. Why? Cuz when I got home about 11.30pm after a cappella practice, I realised that my computer was STILL on! Somemore, it's using AMD so it was pretty warm when I touched it. Luckily I'd left the fan on earlier otherwise I think it would've been fried by the time I came home. So now, it's cooled down okay. *Phew*

Winamp is now blaring: Sugababes - Shape

Man, I got stuck in traffic jam for over an hour from 7.15pm til 8.25pm. Why? My brother, Kevin, la. Had to go pick him up from Taman Paramount LRT station. Going there was fine. But as I was heading there, I noticed that there was looooong queue coming home. I was contemplating which way should I use to go home but it was futile effort 'cuz there's ONLY ONE way home. Sheesh. So, crawled along on 1st/2nd gear. Man, couldn't believe how stiff my neck got. Luckily I'd put in a mix CD of Linkin Park's Meteora/Matchbox Twenty/The Corrs/Aaliyah. At least there was loud music to keep me awake and sorta focussed. I nearly lost concentration a few times 'cuz the traffic was barely moving so I was staring at the car's bumper in front.

Kevin got to nap a while in the car. When he woke after my mom called him (I think) to ask where he was, I couldn't believe the words that came out of his mouth. He asked, "Why was it jammed?" I was like, "WTH? You too used to Singapore until you forgot that when it rains here, it causes traffic jam like nobody's business?" By the way, it was raining cats and dogs when I was going to pick him up but it barely sprinkled on the way back.

Winamp is now blaring: City High - What Would You Do

Friggin' cold. Switched off the fan for a while. Anyway, the funniest thing happened when the Rain Makers went for practice at Mel's place. Yenn and myself were the first to arrive at 9pm. So, we walked up to Mel's place and through the glass sliding door, we saw the whole family sitting around their dining table (We are NOT stalkers, k? It's very easy to see them through a glass sliding door.) We decided not to disturb them if they were having dinner and went off to take a stroll around the area. As we were reaching the end of the road, Jase and Anrie came by in the car. Obviously, they stopped and asked how come we were walking around. After explaining everything, they drove off to find parking and also because there was another car behind them. Then, they also joined us in our little stroll.

Winamp is now blaring: The Flying Pickets - Only The Lonely

Well, we whiled away our time by chit-chatting, looking at pictures of Jay Chou ('cuz Jase, who is his ever faithful fan, brought his autobiography & Times mag which he appeared in, for me to see...so nice of her!) and also waiting for Joanne who was stuck in traffic jam at Bangsar. Anrie was practically drooling over topless pictures of Jay Chou. Jase was so cute 'cuz while I was flipping through the autobiography, she kept saying that 'this pic and that pic are really nice shots'. I had to tell her, "Let me flip through and when you see the pic then you tell me." =) She's so easily excited about Jay Chou. There's a pic of him using a carrot as a flute. I asked Jase, "What instruments does Jay Chou play? The piano, cello, guitar...and carrot?" =) Anyway, by the time Jo arrived, it was 9.45pm so we decided that we should actually ring Mel's doorbell. She scolded us for not ringing it earlier but we defended ourselves by saying we were respecting her family's privacy while having dinner! Yadda, yadda, bla, bla. bla. Went in for practice but ended up spending half the time laughing/giggling/chatting/teasing each other. I can see some of you rolling your eyeballs while thinking, "Girls...sheesh!"

Winamp is now blaring: Carly Simon - You're So Vain

Hmm...hopefully this Thursday night, I'll be able to meet up with some of my ex-SABian friends. *Teddy paws crossed* Been ages since I last saw them. Alright, it's been over 2 months since I last saw them but it feels like a long time. The ONLY thing I miss about high school is the camaderie among friends. Sigh. Getting all nostalgic now. =)

Winamp is now blaring: Matchbox Twenty - Bright Lights

Oh, here's a quote my friend wanted me to put in my blog. On his insistence.

Winning isn't everything, wanting to win is. But you will only want to win if winning's everything to you - as quoted by Sean Tham (2003)

This fella was trying to provoke me through ICQ by complaining about the javascripts I'd put in that makes these colourful pixels circle around the cursor (his words: The dots are attacking my cursor! They're attacking my cursor!!) and the buttons I added at the sidebar, the 'Shake Me' & 'Click Me' (his words: I clicked on it and my whole browser started shaking and when I clicked on the other one, it said dunno what virus is attacking my system and the whole browser just shuts down).

Happy now, 'Muffinkins'? Wahahaa...

Winamp is now blaring: Matchbox Twenty - 3 A.M. (Acoustic Piano Version)

Speaking of quoting people, I still distinctly remember a certain senior's words/mini-lecture on commitment and prioritising. Man, it's like it's been practically burned into my brain. "You must learn how to prioritise." "You need to be committed to your duties."

The best 'Uncle' quote: "You go back and think about it."

Baby, You're A Star!

Winamp is blaring: Linkin Park - Numb

My cousin from Ipoh just called me up to congratulate me on the ad competition I won with my friend, Jasemaine. I'd completely forgotten about it since it was in January, earlier this year. She read about it in Nanyang Siang Pau. Heh. She only knew it was me 'cuz a photo of Jase and myself was in the article. =)

Read more about what it all was about here. Adwave 2003

We only won 'Best Copy Award' which is the text you read in an ad. Honestly, we never expected to win anything. Only reason why we entered it in the first place was because of Creactive, our college's student ad agency as well as gain experience.

See the 'winning' entry here. View image

It was nice of her to call up and let me know about it. She's gonna scan it in for me and email it. Yay! Wahahaa

I still remember how last minute it was doing the entries for Adwave. We finished 3 days just before the deadline! Still remember rushing like mad to post them through PosLaju on 30 December.

I suppose also that alot of gratitude goes out to the seniors who helped us with the entries. I think you know who you are yourselves! *wink, wink* =)

Winamp is now blaring: LiT - Only You

Today was nice because there was no class. Hehe. Finished up my Photoshop collages for Spiderman and Star Wars II as well as the script for the radio assignment. Also, finished watching 'Chicago'. It's pretty interesting how they used songs to portray the surreal side of the character's predicament. Cun wei. Love the song "All That Jazz". Catherine Zeta-Jones has quite an okay voice. Richard Gere is so smooth as the slick lawyer.

Jase told me that Tony Leung had won 'Best Actor' for his role in 'Infernal Affairs'. *Swoon* He's SO gorgeous! I totally envy his girlfriend. She's so lucky to have him.

It's Your Birthday

Today is my friend's birthday. Well, 9.51 am to be exact according to his mom. Hehe. Wanna wish Fahmi a VERY happy 19th birthday. Here's to 4 years of friendship, Two-Tone Guy! Wahahaaa...

I set a reminder on my handphone to go off at midnight so I could call Fahmi and wish him a happy birthday.

Well, called him up and had a looong chat. 1 hour and 30 minutes. It was great to chat with him again after so long. So much to talk about! =) Miss those times in high school when I'd sit at his table and just crap away.

Car Wash

Winamp is blaring: Leanne Womack - I Hope You Dance

Just spent the last 2 hours or so washing my dad's Waja. Now, don't go getting any funny ideas. I'm SO not the tall-leggy-soapy-model-in-a-string-bikini-washing-a-sports-car-while-gyrating. *Ehem*

Anyways, decided to give the car a wash and a polish since it badly needed one. C'mon, you could write your name in the layer of dirt. Blech.

I just realised what a wonderful thing car polish is. Seriously. All you car fanatics out there are probably shaking your heads and tsk-tsking but really, I've only found out how great that stuff is. Aside from the smell and slight burning sensation I got when some of it went on my skin.

You see, I'm the one who's singlehandedly destroying my dad's Waja although in little ways. Yknow, tiny scratches here and there. The occasional scrapes. My driving skills at manoeuvring aren't that great yet. Been only driving for less than a year. Anyway, it's great that the polish helped to cover up the superficial scratches on the Waja so it looks SO much better now. Hehe.

Winamp is now blaring: U2 - The Hands That Built America

Well, about F1 in Brazil, Barrichello managed to get pole position in the qualifying round. Woohoo! We'll see what happens when the race starts early on Monday morning. Darn time difference!

Hmm...was really bored last night. Watched a Leslie Cheung tribute show on Wah Lai Toi and later on TVBS. Such a pity that his great talent is gone now. I really liked his acting skills. And the fact that he looks very well for a 46 year old. The saddest part is how he died. Very pitiful. =(

Oh, by the way, for those of you who're wondering what's wrong with the spelling of the months/days in my blog...it's been changed to Dutch so case closed.

Is This Your Final Answer?

Winamp is blaring: Matchbox Twenty - Downfall

Awow...sien!!

Nothing really happened today. It was so hot and humid. Blergh. Definitely NOT conducive weather for sifting through pages of financial reports. My brain felt about as alert as a limp rag. So there you go.

After reading Ee-Lin's blog...decided to try out the quizzes she linked to.

So here's the results. Laugh if you must. =)

Are You...?

Winamp is blaring: Simple Plan - I'd Do Anything

Met an old schoolmate today at college. It's a bit of a shock really since never really expected to meet him. I'd only expect to meet a classmate who's at Limkokwing since it's near to my college.

Anyways, it was erm...interesting. Actually, when I was sitting in my college's 'clinic', I saw a guy walk past who looked like someone I knew. Cannot be, I thought. Nevermind. So I went next door to the foyer to check out the timetable and see if there were any of my friends in the computer lab. He was in there, talking to his girlfriend (who I'd not noticed..heh). Anyways, I just went into the computer lab for a while then went back out to wait for my gang as we were supposed to 'strategise' for the Win, Lose or Draw competition held later that day.

I put on my Discman's headphones, turned up the volume and sat down to read a book my friend lent me, A Bloody Good Friday. I thought I heard someone calling me but since the music was so loud, I just ignored it in case it was someone else that was being called.

Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone sit opposite me at the table. I thought it was someone else but then I saw a hand move across the table. I looked up. Lo and behold, it was Sai Kong. Or David as he introduced himself to my friends later. He asked, "Are you Corinne?" I replied, "Are you Sai Kong?" He said he wasn't sure it was me since I'd cut my hair short. I'm so fed up of long hair!

It was weird, admittedly. Since I've never really talked to him during high school. Just never really clicked, I guess. He seemed...nicer somehow. Dunno. Or maybe, it's because haven't seen each other for so long (2 years! Since SPM was over) so there's that polite acquaintence thing going on. His acne problem cleared up pretty well. He was a bit shy when I pointed that out to him. In any case, just chatted with him for a while before his girlfriend finished her scholarship interview.

Looks like my days of being the only SABian at my college is drawing to an end. It was so nice being in an environment that was completely free of high school friends. Not that I want to get rid of them. I like my high school friends. It's just that it would've been different had they been there.

Winamp is now blaring: All Saints - I Know Where It's At

Anyway, about Win, Lose or Draw, my gang got our asses kicked in the quarterfinals. It was all the luck of the draw. We lost by 2 points cuz we couldn't guess 'lazy'. How on earth do you draw out the word 'lazy'?? Somemore, not allowed to write letters, numbers or symbols. Wargh!! In the end, another team from my class won which is all good since my class will gain points overall. The student council this year decided to implement a scoring system that's something like sports houses in school. My class was assigned green colour. So, one up for IAA50!! Wooh....

Winamp is now blaring: John Mayer - City Love

Grrr...something is funny with my phone line. Somehow, I can't call out/receive incoming calls! Waahh...my handphone is like my 2nd backup to life. In a way. Earlier today, it was working fine. Dunno why after 5pm or so, it started acting up. Ish!

Time Is Of The Essence

Winamp is blaring: 12 Stones - Open Your Eyes

Went for yum cha with classmates at Spicy's in Hartamas. Was the first to arrive. Sat there and did some people-watching cuz I remembered a friend (who's coming back by next month hopefully! Yay!) once told me that it's interesting to observe people's actions. And it was. But didn't really bother to concentrate so...oh well.

Winamp is now blaring: Blue - She Told Me

Man. Today I was quite pissed off with my group members. We'd already agreed to have a 9.30am meeting to discuss about the script for next week's recording. So, I reached college by 9.15am. Okay, I thought. I'm early. I wouldn't have minded if they arrived by about 10am cuz yknow, give some grace period. Well, I waited. And waited. And waited. I thought I'd go print out my superimposed images cuz I needed to hand them in that day. Okay, so task #1 is complete. Went over the 'clinic' to drop off my assignment. Right, I'll just head next door to the foyer and wait somemore. Or so I thought. Sat there for another 20 minutes. Luckily I brought my Discman and Reader's Digest to keep me company. I got so fed up waiting, I decided to use my time more efficiently and headed to the library to do some marketing research for my group's Marketing Management assignment.

Come 10.10am, no phone calls to me or anything. That basically indicates that they're nowhere near the vicinity of the college. Went down to wait (AGAIN!) in the foyer. Only one turned up at 10.40am. The member had forgotten it was supposed to be 9.30am. Hmm. Another member had SMSed me early this morning as she wasn't feeling too well so she wouldn't be able to make it for the morning meeting. The last member SMSed saying her mom took her car so she had no transport. Sigh.

Winamp is now blaring: Linkin Park - Breaking The Habit

Oh well, I told them to email me their script parts by Friday, which incidentally is today. I hope they do. I don't need any more stress over work than I already have. Need to go sifting through 200 pages of financial accounts of Gucci Group (Yves Saint Laurent) to draw up a budget. Wargh!!! And yet to do collages for Spiderman & Star Wars II. Aiiiiiiiiii......

Kids, Time For Afternoon Nap!

Winamp is blaring: Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli - The Prayer

I went and did something I've not done in a long while.

I went and slept in the afternoon.

I went and did a stupid thing.

You see, now I've got a major tension headache focusing on the area at the base of my head. Took two aspirins earlier and still no effect. I think I'll go and pop Uphamol 650. That stuff works wonders. Note to self: go and lay in stock of Uphamol 650.

Had to wake up at the crazy hour of 6am since my mom had some other plans for the day, therefore my dad had to send me to college by 9am. So, by the time I came home from college about 3.30pm, I was so zonked by 4-5pm...I thought, "Hmm...a short nap might be nice since I've got a ton of work to be done by tonight in preparation for another group meeting tomorrow."

Winamp is now blaring: Linkin Park - From The Inside

It was 5.15pm when I dozed off. Set the alarm to go off about 6.30pm. About 6.24pm, woke up to the thumping beat of some remixed version of a Whitney Houston song. In the zombie mode, switched off the speakers and went back to sleep. Ended up hitting the snooze button until it was 7.15pm. And that was after my dad had knocked on my door to tell me it was dinnertime.

I think Paul's freaky dream has influenced me. I also had a freaky dream. Not trying to copy people but seriously, I had a dream. Actually, it was more like a semi-nightmare. This could be the effect of afternoon naps. Oh my, can you imagine what's going on in the minds of toddlers that have afternoon naps at kindergarten?

Only remembered the last part of the dream since it was so vivid and scary. Dreamt that I was in the car with my bro and my dad. Thing is, my 'dad' wasn't the real dad but some other guy. We were driving along when my 'dad' stopped and got out the car. My bro and I were like "WTF?! It's in the middle of bloody nowhere and you're stopping?!" Next thing yknow, my dad's in the arms of some bitchy woman (the mistress, I presume). So, I began ranting and raving like a mad person. Screaming and crying at my 'dad' for leaving us. Actually gave an ultimatum of "Choose us or her! CHOOSE!" Then, my useless 'dad' went and chose her over us!

Damn.

Winamp is now blaring: Linkin Park - Nobody's Listening

Luckily, my dad started knocking on the door so I stopped playing the dream in my head. Geez. What the hell is that dream supposed to mean? Nothing, I hope. It's weird how you always know you're dreaming but it all seems so real. Surreal! *cue Twilight Zone theme music*

Say What??

Winamp is blaring: Jay Chou - Ban Shou Ren

Today is April Fools Day. Kena tricked a few times by my collegemates. Argh!

My classmate, Sean, was trying to be a wise guy by fooling everyone. He managed to fool a few people by telling that "So-and-so is looking for you." Nearly got tricked myself when he made his phone 'ring' and pretended to answer it. Then, he looked up and said, "Hey, Jase needs coins for parking. Who's got coins?" I got up to get my coins and head out BUT just in time, I remembered that I'd asked her earlier if she needed coins but she'd said no. Immediately let loose with, "Damn you, Sean!" That fella just about cracked himself up laughing. In his words, "Today, sure alot of people will curse me."

Oh yeah, another friend, Darren, played a really good trick. Since he was sick with chickenpox, we'd call him up just to say hi and stuff. So today, I thought I'd just call and see how he's doing. That guy ar...he said he'd had a bad day and that he'd broken his finger. I really thought he did but when he went "Haha! April Fool!" I let loose with the things you'd normally say to a friend who'd successfully tricked you. That fella's going down on Monday when he comes back 'cuz he also tricked my gang with that. Watch out, Darren! Muahaha...

Winamp is now blaring: Kid Rock feat. Sheryl Crow - Picture

Went to watch 'The Hot Chick' at 1 Utama today. It's funny at some parts because of the stupidity but also sometimes a little bit draggy. Oh yea, when my friend and I were heading into the cinema, a couple passed us as they were going in. At first glance, I thought they were the usual bf/gf but when I caught a look at the 'girlfriend', I was like "Whoa!" 'Cuz, the 'girlfriend' was actually a transvestite. Hmmm. Somemore, he/she wasn't the pretty type...more like the type where you can tell he/she was a guy. Anyways, it just happened that they too were watching the same movie AND they were the row directly behind us! Throughout the movie, the 'girlfriend' keep on giggling which made me and my friend 'potong steam' to laugh at the movie.

Winamp is now blaring: Matchbox Twenty - Long Day

After that, went to Ming Tien to have dinner with the same people from last week. This time, instead of my friend's junior, it was Tim who joined! For a while at least. Hehe. Plus, it was a first to actually meet him face to face. Anyways, when Tim was introduced to Thomas, I really thought I heard Thomas say, "Kimberly?" Wahaha. Sorry, Tim, but I just had to put this in! So, now, Tim's new name is Kim/Kimberly.

Haih. Now need to go do some quick research for Marketing Management assignment and type out somemore notes. Ugh. =)
