Birthday Gifts
Teddy music: Janet Jackson - All For You
Spent the day with my ex-schoolmate & Form 3 classmate at KLCC. In fact, I'd been to KLCC twice in a row this week, yesterday and today. With two different people! Wednestday was with my pet bro, Lean Chiew and today my ex-classmate/schoolmate.
The weirdest part was the fact that I watch movies with both of them (pet bro - Insomnia, my ex-classmate - Matrix: Reloaded [FINALLY!!]) and (here's the really weird part I meant), both times were in the EXACT, SAME cinema! Talk about coincidence.
Teddy music: Kylie Minogue - Love At First Sight
Normally, I don't listen to Kylie Minogue but...lazy wanna change the song. It'll be over in a few minutes anyway.
Right, so Matrix (yea, yea...so what if I'm a little slower in catching the movie?) was alright. Really nice SFX =) Storyline was so-so. But honestly, I kept thinking of Superman whenever Neo was flying about. The funniest part of the movie (IMHO) was when Link went "Yeah!" after Neo rescued Morpheus and the Key Maker from the explosion. My friend and I stayed back to wait for the 10 MINUTES of credits to finish rolling before we could watch a 30-seconds trailer for Matrix: Revolutions.
Teddy music: Lil' Kim, Christina Aguilera, Mya, Pink - Lady Marmalade
Insomnia. A bit of a draggy movie for 2 hours if you ask me. I mean, the storyline was nice but the movie was kinda slow in developing it. It didn't help with the censorship of certain parts of the movie that would've made it a bit more nicer to watch. Sigh...
However sad this may sound to some of you out there, I just found out about this really neat shop that sells really neat stuff. It's called 'Wondermilk'. Saw the ad on the back of KLUE magazine. And the best part is, I discovered that it's pretty near my workplace. So, planning to go earlier just to see if it's there or in another part of 1 Utama.
O yea...gonna start my first job tomorrow. 10am to 7pm. A full day's shift. Whoa. Hope I can get thought it with minimal problems! *teddy paws crossed*
Teddy music: Janet Jackson ft. Missy Elliott - Son Of A Gun
Man, my feet hurt. Note to self: do not, DO NOT wear 'nice looking' shoes when planning to go walking around alot.
Went to go buy my bro's birthday prezzies. He wanted a Deuter backpack but it was kinda ex. So, went to buy him Wrangler jeans and a U2 shirt instead. At least the grand total came to under RM150. Man, has that fella got ex taste!
Btw, for those wondering what my bro looks like...here you go =)

Exams Are Over
Teddy music: Blue - Girl I'll Never Understand
Came back from a 'yum cha' session about 45 minutes ago. This time, they decided to go to Jasima in TTDI. As usual, since I've never been there (or recalled seeing that place), I got lost and ended up at Mantissa. But wasn't for long since TTDI isn't that majorly big. Phew!
Yea! My Marketing Management paper is OVER!! I actually had 2 (yes, you read that right...TWO mild anxiety attacks when I was going through my notes for the final time an hour before the exam!). Oh yeah, I couldn't sleep until 3 am the night before my exam...must be because I slept too long on Sunday afternoon. So, I had only 6 hours of sleep prior to the exam! Wooo....
Surprisingly, the questions that came out were 'doable' questions! Seems like everyone was pretty happy about that. =)
Teddy music: Sugar Ray - When It's Over
This Friday'll be my first day on the job at Ziziano's. Hope it goes well. =)
Oh yes...my bro ar...he's very good in specifying what he wants for his birthday. It's a toss up between a Deuter backpack (need to go to Tearproof to check it out) or clothes/jeans (had to ask him for his sizes in case buy too big). My dad said why not get both and I was like, "Wah, a bit the ex rite?" (Sorry, Kev, borrowed your 'slang' there a bit, hehe).

You are Morpheus, from "The Matrix." You
have strong faith in yourself and those around
you. A true leader, you are relentless in your
persuit.

Another Birthday Greeting
Teddy music: Mandy Moore - Crush
Another friend's birthday today. Seems that for this month, almost every other entry's starting off with a birthday greeting to a friend. The 'star' for today is none other than one of my fave seniors to disturb the heck outta of: Kam Fatt @ Uncle!
Teddy music: Eve ft. Gwen Stefani - Let Me Blow Ya Mind
The only person I know who's 21 going onto 55. Usually seen attired in collared, buttoned shirts. Rarely seen in T-shirts (when actually wearing one, people can't believe it...usual reaction: "He's got T-shirts???"). Very easily given to dispensing 'wisdom' and 'advice'. Very difficult to stop as well.
Anyways, went for a orchestra performance at Malaysian Philharmonic Opera (issit Opera?) or MPO at KLCC earlier. My dad got free tix so we went lor. Went to Chinoz for dinner. The food's pretty good there although it's a little on the high-end pricing. The orchestra show was pretty good. Really nice. Haven't been to one before so this was pretty enjoyable. Although, the seating could'be been more comfy but then again, too comfy would mean people would fall asleep. By the way, a number of people DID fall asleep during the show. Guess they were really bored or don't know how to appreciate fine classical music.

So Blessed
Teddy music: Passion 268 Generation - Send Your Rain
Very interesting of late. I've honestly got to say I've been really blessed over the past few weeks. Actually, my entire life lar but of recent events it's more 'obvious'.
You see, today after I came back from KLCC (before that I was with Jase, window shopping at Central Market), my mom told me that I'd won a pair of tickets to the movie 'Zhou Yu's Train'. As I'd mentioned in an earlier blog entry, the attempt to watch that movie with Jase a few days ago completely failed. But now, I've got 2 free tickets! Woohoo... =) Planning to take Sim Miao as it's her birthday in June. One down, five more to go. Goodness.
Teddy music: Passion 268 Generation - Sweet Mercies
Speaking of movie tickets, I'd also won another pair of tickets from TGV when I entered 'The Hot Chick' competition on a whim. Gave those tix to my parents to do as they please with it.
Somemore, pretty psyched about today itself. After I parted ways with Jase about 4pm, I went to KLCC to hang around while waiting for my dad to finish work. Decided to walk around and see if I could spot any nice clothes for my bro's birthday next month. Was walking on the 3rd level by now and passed by Isetan. Noticed it was having a week-long sales period, so sauntered in and began scouting around. Most of the clothes were either:
a) Within budget BUT not my bro's style - Kev's (IMHO!) style seems to be more the smart casual type, yknow, the tailored type of shirts (buttoned or not) and nothing really loud.
b) Really nice BUT way out of budget =(
Then, since I also needed to get a few more white tops for my new part-time job (the uniform consists of white top & denim e.g. jeans/denim skirt), I thought I'd go check out the ladies' wear.
Whoopee! Scored 4 tops (3 white, 1 black) and all for under RM100! 2 white short-sleeved tops, and the other 2 tops are exactly the same (collared, buttoned, 3/4 length sleeves) except one's white and (no prizes for guessing) the other's black. Called my mom at first to get her opinion if I should buy the tops there or wait for her to take me somewhere else and buy. She said to go ahead since the white tops were under RM20 and the collared shirts were under RM25. Even she admitted that it was a good bargain when I showed her the clothes later at home! Hehe...you can't imagine how much of a compliment that is coming from my mum, who usually criticises my clothes selection. *big teddy grin*
Anyways, I've got to go and finish up my other work before I can take Saturday off and not think about pending exams for one day.

The Miracle We Know As Toothpaste
Teddy music: Hillsong - Everyday
Right...now I'm listening to Christian songs cuz I'm in the process of transferring the cassettes onto the comp to make CD copies of it before the cassettes go kaput.
Speaking about toothpaste, it's amazing the amount stuff you can use it for.
#1 : Cleaning your teeth i.e. brushing teeth
#2 : Cleaning silver - really brings out the shine =)
Erm...that's all I can think of for now.
Wow.
Goodness...the tape's getting sticky...and the sound of it is like it's being played underwater. Oh my.
Didn't do much today except washed clothes, studied my Marketing Management, did some agency work and transfer audio cassettes to the computer.
Wonderful day, huh?

My First Job
Teddy music: Jennifer Love Hewitt - Can I Go Now
Great...got disconnected when I was in the middle of saving my entry. So I need to re-type everything again! Argh...
Right...first thing is...I finally got the job I wanted! Yeah! I'll be working part-time at Ziziano (a silver accessories shop) in 1 Utama. It's my first part-time job too! Hehe.
Teddy music: Evanescence - My Last Breath
Jase also got the part-time job at the Midvalley branch. Pretty sweet job we scored ourselves. =)
Teddy music: Chicago - Overture & All That Jazz
Today marks the 24th birthday for Thomas. Hehe...sorry, big guy if you didn't want people to know!
Anyway, went to 1 Utama with Jase & Sim Miao to buy his present which consisted of 2 U2 shirts (the 2 for RM39). Found out that we bought a size too big (XL). Apparently, when it comes to U2 shirts, Thomas wears size L. Well...it's the thought that counts right? Haha.
Well, had a nice chat with one of my seniors. Haven't spoken like that with him for quite a while. His birthday is coming pretty soon too! On the 25th. Imagine that, in this month alone, there's at least 6 friends' birthdays! Next month in June, there's another 6 (including my bro, Kev)! Aaaa...
=)

Ice Cream On A Hot Day
Teddy music: Sixpence None The Richer - Don't Dream It's Over
Ah...just showered so still smelling clean. Hehe. =)
Nothing really happened today or yesterday.
Yesterday, went for lunch as a family with my dad's ex-classmate from high school. It was a bit weird for me 'cuz all I could do was concentrate on eating. I mean, what is there for me to say to my dad's friend? So basically, just sat there and listened to the conversation between my parents and my dad's friend, which was in general about his family, life in NZ and politics. Truly sien.
Teddy music: Strawberry Fields Forever (A Cappella)
Today, woke up at 11am. Then, went downstairs for lunch which comprised of a luncheon meat sandwich. After that, went to my room to study and had a long nap.
Man, it IS hot today! You could fry an egg on the car bonnet that's been out in the sun for a few hours. The wind was like the air coming from a baking oven. Yeap, it was that hot.
I really wish it would rain.
Just found out my dad bought back ice cream! Yay!

10 wedding songs to avoid
Here are 10 songs to circumvent as you flip through your CD collection in search of the perfect wedding song. Not only are the following tunes cheesy, but they also share a common thread: They're grossly overused at weddings. And at the risk of sounding picky, some don't even relate to wedded bliss. Give these tunes their swan song:
10. "Every Breath You Take"
-- The Police
Nothing says "I love you" like a song about obsessive love. This is, in essence, the classic stalker theme. Just look at the lyrics, or even the title for that matter. But, hey, if you want to inform your guests that from this day forward your marriage will be a testament to intense scrutiny and infatuation, go right ahead. I'm not here to judge you ... psycho.
9. "Against All Odds"
-- Phil Collins
Remember: When you pick this song, you're not telling your beautiful bride that you'd fight for her no matter what the obstacle. This song is about a guy who keeps reminiscing about the good times and can't believe his woman walked out on him. Hence, you won't come off as romantic; in fact, guests who know the lyrics will think you're an idiot.
This is a classic example of how a title can be misleading. Even if it seems like a gooey love song, it is anything but. And twirling your bride around the dance floor to it won't make you seem very bright.
8. "Without You"
-- Mariah Carey
It's one thing to pick out a song that demonstrates your devotion and quite another to pick one that painfully reiterates how you can't breathe without her in your life. Originally Harry Nilsson's hit, this song was made popular by Air Supply and again by none other than shrilly-voiced Mariah Carey. This tune reeks of desperation. Opt for a song that celebrates life and love, and not the loss of such things.
7. "This I Promise You"
-- 'N Sync
Although it requires little explanation, 'N Sync's tearjerker begs the question: Do you really want a bubblegum boy band past its prime kicking off the night's festivities? Even if this was the song playing at the precise moment you locked eyes for the first time, avoid the novelty ballad and opt for a classic with a longer shelf life.
6. "Wicked Game"
-- Chris Isaak
It's easy to get wrapped up in Isaak's steamy and seductive ode to a woman who has infiltrated his heart. And I'm willing to overlook the fact that it's really about a man's mixed feelings. But in the end, the song caters to emotions that are far too X-rated for a PG party. Don't despair, though. This makes for a great lovemaking song once you kick off the honeymoon.
5. "Back At One"
-- Brian McKnight
McKnight's signature song does offer an original R&B vibe that appeals to a more contemporary crowd. But listen closely and you'll realize that what you're getting is, in actuality, nothing more than a tacky list of reasons why your woman is so special. Chances are you've already expressed those same sentiments in countless cards and poems; there's no need to have someone number them off on the dance floor as well.
4. "You Are So Beautiful"
-- Joe Cocker
While your wife to be may be as beautiful as they come, why in the world would you want to have a man who sounds like he's having a conniption serenade her? Add to that the fact that the song moves along too slowly -- even for an intimate wedding dance -- and you've got yourself a song that no one should be playing at their reception.
3. "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You"
-- Bryan Adams
On paper, this Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves track has all the must-haves of a classic wedding anthem, as the poignant lyrics and emotional, albeit powerful chords come together in one harmonious masterpiece. Any couple could make this ballad their own...
...And just about every couple has. Although things seem to have cooled off, there was a time when you couldn't escape this runaway hit. If only it had been given some time to rest, perhaps the greatest wedding song of all time wouldn't have turned into such a cringe-inducing annoyance.
2. "I Will Always Love You"
-- Whitney Houston
No one can belt out a tune like Whitney Houston, and she would be a great addition to anyone's wedding track list. But as much as I hate to burst your and your woman's Bodyguard-loving bubble, this iconic tune has more to do with separation than union. After all, she does admit in the song's opening verse that she would "only be in the way" if she stuck around. So while I'm not denying that this is a killer track, it may be better-suited for couples going through an amicable divorce than those tying the knot.
1. "My Heart Will Go On"
-- Celine Dion
Where does one begin? This Oscar-winning theme song from Titanic will likely go down in history as the most misused love song of all time.
Picking up where Whitney left off, Celine sings her heart out about a couple forever separated (you know how this story ends), but due to the film's immense popularity -- and the fact that it is a love song, after all -- couples were somehow tempted to turn the song's bittersweet message into an all-out love fest. The result? Millions of couples dancing to a song chosen more for its origins than for what it's really about.
The airwaves are inundated with great love songs, so stop settling for one that doesn't even apply. Well, at least listen to the lyrics before making your choice.
Honorable mention
Unchained Melody
- The Righteous Brothers
This is one of those classics that never goes out of style. The distinct vocals and unforgettable melody can immediately set the stage for heightened romance. Too bad the song became synonymous with 1990's Ghost; if you opt to dance to this, you'll veer the attention away from you and your lovely bride and fill the guests' heads with visions of Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore engaging in an erotic pottery session.

Mission #2-4
Teddy music: Blue - You Make Me Wanna
Woot! I'm typing this entry with the VCD package of Infernal Affairs between my forearms since it's right in front of my keyboard. Yeah! *punches teddy fist in air* I finally got my hands on the VCD version of the DVD version. (Hope you get that! Hehe.) It's got the original ending plus extra goodies. *rubs teddy paws together* Just finished ogling Tony Leung in the movie. Haha...quite high now. Wooooo =)
Teddy music: Robbie Williams - Supreme
Alright, alright. Very pleased with self for accomplishing Mission #2 (which is to procure Infernal Affairs). Next two missions:
Mission #3 - Get the VCD for Happy Together plus other Leung Chiu-Wai movies *grin*
Mission #4 - Watch Matrix: Reloaded
Haih. Today went to Midvalley to watch the movie Zhou Yu's Train but by the time I actually found parking, it was 1.55pm (the show was at 2pm) and slightly delayed cuz I bumped into my pet bro, Emmanuel. Was kinda surprised to see him there but it was alright nonetheless. Gave him a big hug then had to rush off to meet Jase at the cinema. Since we didn't manage to watch the movie, we ended up having lunch and she recounted to me her experience of seeing Jay Chou at Bukit Tinggi the day before.
Before I continue with her story, let me tell mine first. Today was the first time I drove in quite a while since I had those two nasty accidents. Quite tensed while driving. Drove much slower than I used to. The funniest part is the parking. The first round (I made 2 rounds in & out of the parking!) I ended up right at the exit and there was no other way I could turn the Waja around (I'm not that skilled at doing 3 point turns in a tight space...but I bet my dad could). So, ended up paying the ticket to get out and re-entered the parking from the entrance again. Then spent 45 minutes searching for parking. Even then, my parking was crooked. My spot was next to the pillar so the car in front of me and the car beside me still could get out so I didn't care. =)
I'll bet some of you reading this are probably splitting your sides now. Go ahead. I don't blame you. Jase also laughed when I told her.
Teddy music: City High - What Would You Do
OK, about Jase and Jay Chou, she was very lucky that she got to see Jay Chou at all when she went to Bukit Tinggi. He was being installed as the Ambassador of Tourism (or something like that) and she didn't really expect to get a chance to see him. Well, looks like she's got 'fate' to see Jay Chou. Got some pretty nice pictures of him too. Will post them up when she passes some of it to me. =)
Oh yeah, while we were strolling along in Midvalley, we passed by a magazine store and Jase went in to 'check' for any magazines with Jay Chou articles. Luckily (for her), there was a Chinese mag with his face plastered on the front so she quickly bought the mag. She was so happy after that. =)
Teddy music: Andy Lau - Rou Ma Qing Ge
Such a small world. I found out after I reached home (safely and in one piece, thank God!) that my other pet bro (I've got quite a few pet bros...hehe) had also been at Midvalley! Wooo...but how come I didn't see him? =( He said he'd also met Emmanuel at Midvalley.
Mmm. Bought a 4-pack butterscotch pudding for my family in lieu of my dad coming back from Kuching (he went there to visit his father, my granddad lar). Yum!
My right palm hurts when I try to fold my right thumb into my palm. Wonder why? Could it be due to gripping the steering wheel too tightly? Hmm...

Curly -> Straight?
Teddy music: Dave Matthews Band - Ants Marching
Today is a public holiday. I think most Malaysians should know that. =)
Woke up at 2pm. My mum had been banging on my door at intervals from 9am to 11am in the futile attempt to awaken me. The phone in my room began ringing at 2pm but I ignored it the first time round, hoping that whoever it was would just stop calling or someone at home would pick up the phone. After a while, it stopped. Then, it began again! Argh...so got up and answered it. Turned out to be a collegemate who wanted to go through some work. So, patiently listened to her.
Teddy music: Christina Aguilera - Keep On Singin'
Then, ambled downstairs and ate lunch. Then, vegged out in front of the telly until about 5pm. After my mum made noise about me bumming around the whole day, I decided to go upstairs and fold my laundry and iron my wrinkly clothes. Finished with that job, I decided to go and wash my dad's Waja since it really is quite filthy. You could write your name (or any messages you like) in the film of dirt. Blech! Now it's a clean car. Until it rains again that is. Hmm.
Teddy music: DJ Krush Featuring Angelina Esparza - Aletheuo (Truthspeaking)
Today (or rather, yesterday) Jase went for the fan meeting session with her idol, Jay Chou. Apparently there were 300 (!) fans altogether. Woo. =O
Anyways, she's in 7th heaven cuz she happened to be one of the lucky 5 picked to sit onstage with Jay Chou! Woot...you go, girl! When I called her later, she couldn't stop going on about how she felt being so near Jay Chou. Can't wait to see the pics she took! =) Also, she recounted how after the session, while waiting for her dad to pick her up, Jay Chou happened to leave and passed by her! She said she was just standing there when she suddenly saw a huge crowd. Then, she realised it was Jay Chou leaving in a van for a radio interview at 988fm. She said she was too shocked to do anything. Haha.
Imagine how devoted she is to Jay Chou that in this week alone, she's going to see him 3 times! One, the fan meeting session. Two, tomorrow (or today) at Bukit Tinggi when he goes there for his ceremony of being officially chosen as the Ambassador for Tourism Malaysia (hopefully, she can catch a glimpse of him!). Three, this Saturday when she goes for his concert. Plus, she went for the most expensive tickets (RM220). Just shows how far she'll go for him. =)
Teddy music: The Corrs - Irresistible
Oh, since I was so bored earlier, I decided to play around with the hair straightener/crimper my mum bought 2 years back (or was it last year?). So I went and straightened my hair. Hehe. The front part looks better cuz it's easier to do than the back part. Need someone to help me straighten the back part of my hair nicely. =) Oh well, when I wash my hair or get it wet, it's gonna go back to being curly again.
Teddy music: My Girl
Oh yeah...seems like alot of my friends seem to be on a winning streak lately. Started with me winning Linkin Park tix, then Jase wins the fan meeting session with Jay Chou, then Sean wins Matrix: Reloaded tix and the latest, Erin wins tix to 'A Goldfish Tale'. Woot!
Haha...I still remember during our Marketing Management revision class, our lecturer (Joyce) mentioned the BCG Matrix and Sean's head popped up at the word 'Matrix' since he'd just only won the Matrix tix the day before or so. =)

Of Matrix & Schoolmates
Teddy music: All Saints - Never Ever
I was just looking at this website (www.kawanaku.com). Been looking at my class' year (2001). Interesting to see who joins although hardly anyone utilises the website services (including yours truly). Lazy, I guess. =)
Today's Mother's Day. Went to church service (after all, it IS Sunday). I gave my mum a card of this really cute duck and small mouse. Actually, I slid it under my parents' bedroom door late last night so she'd see it first thing in the morning (as I am SO NOT a morning person. I'll only wake up early IF I have to. Otherwise, DON'T disturb the sleeping teddybear before you get whacked across the jaw (accidentally, of course...hehe)
Teddy music: Jay Chou - Ye Ye Pao De Cha
Guess what the church gave the mums? Pink aprons with a picture of a mum/flower and the words "Mum's a Gem". Hmm. My mum laughed in the car when she opened the package to see the apron.
My room needs dusting. But, that's besides the point.
Anyways, tomorrow's my daddy's birthday. Got his birthday card safely stashed away in my computer desk drawer. Gonna do the same trick I did for my mum's card.
Oooo...I know that Tim's already mentioned about The Matrix movie on Ntv7 in his blog but I want to as well! =)
Teddy music: The Flying Pickets - Caravan Of Love
Thoroughly enjoyed myself watching The Matrix. But the thing that 'potong steam' was the fact that they put the commercial breaks at the most inappropriate times during the movie...I mean, there was one part where someone was about to get their arse kicked and then BAM!...commercial break. What a bummer! Imagine, you're all tensed up and caught up in the excitement and then next thing you know, you're watching Shu Qi prancing around in the Lux ad. *Grrr*
The rest of the family lost track of the story and fell asleep during the movie. Aisay. Nevermind, I was enjoying watching all the special effects in the movie. Can't believe how fast it's been since the movie came out way back in 1999.
Teddy music: Kid Rock - Only God Knows Why
I'm gonna try and convince my dad to take the family out to watch Matrix: Reloaded. Hehe.
I want to go get the VCDs from Speedy Video for 'Infernal Affairs' & 'Happy Together'. Why? 'Cuz both of those movies has Tony Leung Chiu Wai in it (*swoon*) and cuz I like those movies too. 'Infernal Affairs' is superb in the sense that you can really feel the emotions and tension in the scenes. Wooo. 'Happy Together'...read about how it's quite an artistic movie (yea, yea, so it's about gay lovers but I don't mind) so I wanna see it. O yea, planning to go get 'In The Mood For Love' too...wonderfully artistic movie. Wong Kar-Wai is one fantastic director.

Teddy music: Elva Hsiao
Muahaha...at last! I have finally watched X2! The effects are awesome...*shivers with delight* So fine, the storyline wasn't that great but gosh are the effects wonderful!! Bought the X2 combo which comes with this pewter X2 pendant. Yippee...hehehe. Went to watch X2 yesterday at 1 Utama with 3 of my classmates.
Teddy music: Mungo Jerry - You Don't Have To Be In The Army To Fight In The War
That's a long title for a song!
Mission #2 is to watch Matrix: Reloaded when it's out next week or so! I'm drooling over the special effects already...
Teddy music: Kelly Rowland - Can't Nobody
Great...Streamyx isn't behaving nicely again. *Groan*
Teddy music: Train - Drops Of Jupiter
Btw, I went to Ming Tien on Thursday for dinner with Thomas & Sim Miao. I found out later that night thru ICQ that Tim & Paul also had been there at the same time! Can you imagine how the scenario looks like? Earlier, I was thinking of SMSing Tim to see if he wanted to join but dismissed the thought. Somemore, Paul saw me but thought it was someone so he didn't call. Plus, Tim said that he was telling Paul that one day Paul should meet me. Argh!! Ironies of ironies.

Freedom!
Teddy music: Leslie Cheung - Ming Xing
Yay! All of my assignments for this semester are OVER! Free...yippee!
But, there's the Computer Graphics exam next Tuesday. =(
I think I'd better get down to studying for my Marketing Management exam on the 26th...woooo
Teddy music: Evanescence - Ascension Of The Spirit
Last night (or rather, this morning) I was ICQing with Sean...and he brought up the topic about pets. I like the name Spud for my future dog. Sean wants to have these type of pets and their names:
1. Alligator - Munch
2. German Shepard - Ken
3. Tarantula - Fang
4. Piranha(s) - whatever..
5. Scorpion - Sting
6. Falcon - Blimp
Teddy music: No Doubt - I'm Just A Girl
Interesting menagerie he'll have next time. Hehe. Darn, forgot to ask him to tell me how he's gonna fit all those pets into his home next time. I'm definitely not gonna be bringing my precious corgi puppy (his name will be Spud, cute eh?) to Sean's place. Goodness know what'll happen to Spud!!
Today was my group's Marketing Management assignment presentation. We think we did pretty OK. We choose a dress colour code of black. Nifty, eh?
Teddy music: Sugababes - Stronger
Ooh...here's some pix from the Mantissa Institute performance! Have fun...hehe
Teddy music: Christina Aguilera - Fighter
Has anyone seen the music video for The Androids? The song 'Do It With Madonna'...it's a real scream to watch. The way they make fun of other female singers is so funny...haha =)
Teddy music: Evanescence - Haunted
Yesterday I went to 1 Utama to buy my dad's present. I'd actually asked my dad what he wanted for his birthday since my dad basically has everything (or can afford to buy it if he doesn't have it) already. So, he said he'd like a new tie so he picked out a really nice dark grey silky-ish tie. Since it wasn't that expensive (and I'd budgeted a fair amount for his present), I insisted on getting him another tie (I chose a navy blue slky-ish tie). So, yeap, got my daddy's present already...yeye! For my mummy, I'm gonna let her choose what type of plants she wants.
Teddy music: Tony Leung - I Really Need You
Tony Leung!! Sigh...
OK, snap out of it!
Anyways, I've got my parents' cards all ready and written to now just need to wait til this Sunday & Monday. Ooo...getting excited!
Btw...here's a baby pic I found =)

X2!
Teddy music: Evanescence - Before The Dawn
I am not happy at all. I don't care if I come across as bratty when I say this but:
I wanna go watch X2!!
The thing is, a majority of my friends have gone to see it already. Which just makes it more sucky.
I am so sick of looking at the Marketing Management assignment. Basically almost everything has been done. Left only the executive summary.
Teddy music: Matchbox Twenty - Soul
I'm tired. Not enough sleep. I've not updated my blog for a few days now. I'm lagging behind. Haih.
I came back about an hour ago from Anrie's place. Went there to celebrate her birthday. Seems that May has alot of birthdays (among my friends, that is). Aiyo, like that ar...I'm gonna go broke, baby! Somemore, it's Mother's Day AND my daddy's birthday next Sunday & Monday!!! WAAAAA...*pengsans*
Teddy music: Jay Z ft. Beyonce Knowles - Bonnie & Cylde '03
I'm pretty glad I've got good friends like Zeyi who's willing to put up with my whining when I'm feeling bratty. Like now. But it's out of my system. Aah. When I'm done with all the assignments, I'm gonna take some 'me time' and watch movies I wanna see. Oooooo *rubs teddy paws*
I can't believe how fast time flies. This week is my final week of my semester. Then 2 days of exam and THAT'S IT!! Freedom...here I come! For a week. Anti-climax there. Oh well, a week's better than nothing, eh?
Teddy music: Tony Leung - Windy Sand
Oh, about the Mantissa Institute annual ball...well, we did OK although we could've done better, honestly. We sounded much better during our rehearsal with Penny & Joyce at Spices (the restaurant at Concorde's poolside).
You see, Penn wanted to hear us one final time before we went up on stage, so we met her while she & Joyce had dinner at Spices. We started our run-through when the manager stepped out to ask us if we'd like to sing inside the restaurant (we were out by the poolside). At first, we thought he wanted to shoo us away but surprise, surprise...so in we went and 'did our thing' (since Penn agreed to let us sing inside although we didn't really want to...shy la!).
Teddy music: Jay Chou - Ye Ye Pao De Cha
Btw, speaking of Jay Chou, Jase (much to her delight) won this SMS contest where 200 fans get to meet Jay Chou! Very, VERY happy for her...that girl's nuts over Jay Chou. Plus, she'd been SMSing the contest EVERYDAY hoping to win...good for her that she did! Hehehe...
Alright, back to the singing thing. Well, we (amazingly enough!) impressed the diners (Ok, so it was one table but it was the chairman's table apparently) and the chefs. Hehe.
There were a few bugs with our performance on stage later cuz we didn't have a feedback speaker, so we couldn't hear ourselves at all. Therefore, it was basically just go and sing AND hope for the best. Looks like we did OK somewhat. =)
Teddy music: Evanescence - My Immortal
Took a few pictures from that night. I'll upload it when I've got time. Also, the pictures from Anrie's birthday party.
Aisay...Sean just told me that Arsenal lost 3-2 to Leeds...which means that Man U will win the title! How can this be??? My Arsenal fan heart is breaking. I'm no die hard fan but I'll support Arsenal always!
Teddy music: Over The Rainbow
Wooo...F1 results! M. Schumacher 1st, Alonso 2nd, Barrichello (yay!) 3rd. I like Barrichello. I don't really care about the teams. I like the drivers themselves. Heh.
I think I've typed enough. Sleepy.

Fluffyness
Teddy music: Counting Crows - Big Yellow Taxi
It's a very dear friend's birthday today!! On Labour Day too! Wahaha...a very Happy Birthday to Zeyi! Big boy liao...19 years old le... =)
Zeyi, so 'ngam' one ar you...made your mom go into labour on Labour Day itself! It's supposed to be a day off for people!
Teddy music: Phil Collins & N*Sync - Trashin' The Camp
That's a lot of exclamation marks in the above sentences. So what? =P
Teddy music: Five For Fighting - Superman
Well, this Friday's performance is now only less than 48 hours away! Wargh...I'm feeling a little stressed now, heh. Right now, I'm trying to use up the battery in my digital camera so that I can make sure it's fully charged for this Friday.
Since I'm actually gonna be in KL for Friday night, I've been calling up some ex-schoolmates to see if they're free to go out on Friday night. I hope it all works out nicely. I miss seeing most of them.
Getting all nostalgic now leh.
Teddy music: The Corrs - What Can I Do
Still trying to use up the battery power. Haih. Taking lots of useless pictures of my bedroom.
O yeah...today it rained like heck. I'm not kidding. Pours a thousand million litres of water down then dries up. Aisay!!
You see, my Computer Graphics class ended about 3pm so after that, I went to a nearby cafè with Sim Miao for late lunch. Sat there til about 4.15pm then headed back to college to wait til about 5.30pm to have dinner with the usual dinner gang (please read previous entries pertaining to aforesaid 'dinner gang'). While walking back to college, bypassed a coffeeshop and heard someone calling, "CK! Sim Miao!" Guess who it was? (No prizes for the right answers though...hehe) Yeap, Thomas & Seng were there.
Teddy music: Train - Drops Of Jupiter (Acoustic)
Since Sim Miao had to go back to college for a group meeting, I followed Thomas & Seng back to Seng's place to hang out for a while. Seng had to go pick up his laundry from the laundry shop (what's it called again?) so Thomas & I went to Thomas' car first. We were walking through the housing area opposite my college when it started to thunder and lightning lit the sky up. It was still relatively blue-ish skies and both of us weren't expecting the rain to come down yet. Suddenly, after one terrific clap of thunder and a bright streak of lightning (what a gorgeous photo shot wasted!!), the heavens opened and rain came down in drops as big as marbles (the normal size) and it was hard! Painful!!
Teddy music: All Stars - What's Going On
Both of us ran like heck to reach Thomas' car but ended getting semi-soaked. My shirt was practically sticking to me and my hair looked like I'd just gotten out of the shower and half-towelled dry. Blech.
We went to Seng's place after picking him up from the busstop near college. I borrowed a shirt from Seng since mine was too damp to wear. I also borrowed another shirt from Thomas. Since Thomas is of a rather large build (he's tall and broad), his shirt was like the kind of shirt I'd wear to sleep. It was so big that the sleeves came down to my elbows and the bottom of the shirt was like a very short skirt on me. It's like wearing a mini skirt dress lar. I could've just walked around with that shirt on but of course, I wrapped myself with Seng's blanket while I let my cargoes dry out somewhat. =)
Teddy music: Celine Dion - Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)
Played some kind of bubble shooting computer game with Seng while Thomas had a nap. Got my arse thoroughly kicked by Seng in that game. Oh well. =) About 5.45pm we went to Uptown Hawker centre (Sim Miao & Addy joined us by now) for some chow. I left at 6.45pm cuz I needed to go back to college (I must seem like I lurve my college, huh?) to set up the mikes for The Rainmakers trial run with the mikes.
Teddy music: Dido - Thank You
Well, we practiced from about 7.30pm to 9.15pm with the mikes. It takes some getting used to since we've usually been practising without mikes. But I think we're getting there. =) *Teddy paws crossed*
Okiez...that's about it for this entry. Wish us RainMakers luck for this Friday's performance!!
