Chihuahua Dance
Teddy music: Britney Spears - Me Against The Music
Right...apparently the newest dance fad to hit Singapore is this thing called the Chihuahua Dance.
How did I know? By reading my bro's blog. His graduating year students (before they sit for their O-Levels next week or so), went and did the Chihuahua dance all around their school...which is supposedly an unheard act of craziness in that school. Well, at least they did something that'll make them kinda memorable.
Anyways...I wonder when the Chihuahua Dance will take Malaysia by storm...hmm...another round of Las Ketchup anyone?

19 Years Old
Teddy music: The Androids - Do It With Madonna
First & foremost, thank God for blessing me with 19 years of life. =) Yeap, I'm officially 19 for 2 days now. Heh.
It was pretty fun this year. I mean, every year is different in its own way.
Friday night, I went for late night supper/tong sui with 3 of my seniors (Thomas, Addy & Seng) at SS2's KTZ tong sui place. It was pretty nice and they were the first to welcome my birthday since we were there until about 12.30am.
The next night, went to Sunway Pyramid with my classmates (Jase, Erin, Sean, Izal, Darren, Yves, Miew Teng, Ling & Sim Miao) to have dinner at Hartz Chicken Buffet and after that we went to Hartamas for the Jazz Festival.
It's funny that almost all of my prezzies this year came wrapped in teddy-themed wrapping paper! =) Especially when the gang gave me the prezzies at Sunway and I was holding it all...it's quite obvious that teddies were the order of the day!
Got pretty nice prezzies this year. Let's see, a rose from Ling, a Patrick bolster from Miew Teng, a Discman/CD storage bag from Jase, Sean, Izal, Darren & Erin, a ballerina teddy from Ling, a cute girl teddy from Pam, a cross pendant from Yves, a teddy photo album from Sim Miao, Addy, Seng & Thomas, Pingu VCDs from my daddy & liquid lipstick (or whatever you call it!) from Rachel.
That's a lot of teddy stuff, eh? Haha...
Teddy music: Richard X Vs. Liberty X - Being Nobody
Thank God for terrific friends like the ones I have. Oh yes, got a card from my cellgroup too. =)
At Hartz, when it was time to cut the birthday cake, my friends sang a really loud "Happy Birthday" song...I felt so 'pai seh'...hehe. The message they wrote on the cake was funny: Dear CK a.k.a. Mrs Tony Leong (Leung) Happy 19th Birthday! We love you
I love you guys too! *teddy muaks*
Now, one of the top highlights of the day (I mean, it was a pretty awesome day and all but this really put the icing on the cake, so to say) was when my best friend from way back in Primary 6, called me up outta the blue from Texas (she's currently there with her family on a cross-posting thingy as her dad's working in Shell)! I was so surprised and happy when she called. We chatted for about 30 mins before my cellphone started making its "dying" beeps. Argh! But it was lovely to hear from her again =) Luv ya, Christine!
Well...that's a quick summary of my birthday this year. I'll upload the pix later on. Cyaz!

Moshing
Teddy music: Tension - Tell Me Why
Alrighty...Linkin Park's concert was AWESOME!
It was amazing to see them perform live...they're every bit as good as what you see on TV. Snapped plenty of pix of them although it's all from a distance as only the Celcom inner circle were DIRECTLY in front of the stage. It's pretty unfair of Celcom to have reserved so much space for them...ended up only those in the inner circle got all the freebies thrown by Linkin Park (Argh! I want!) and there was a bunch of celebrities moshing away in there too *sigh*
I felt bad for Too Phat when people started to boo them...that's just being complete asses...c'mon, give them a break! If I was part of Too Phat, I'd be feeling really down but they put up a pretty good opening act =)
I was in the giant mosh pit/field. It was an experience to say the least. People can really push you around in there...no kidding. And, being short is no advantage when everyone's taller than you and you can barely breathe. I stayed in there until about halfway through the concert and I just had enough with the shoving, so I got myself out with the help of the security guys (I wonder if their arms are sore from having to lift so many people out). At least on the track, I could breathe easy. I had a better view (less heads blocking) although it was basically seeing Linkin Park from the right side.
I still can't get over the fact that I finally got to see them LIVE in action!
I will definitely go for their next concert (if they have one) and I'll only go for the mosh pit if I can get exclusive tickets into it...no more mass moshing...! It's too dangerous for me as I was getting jumped on by taller people. =(
But still, it was worth the bruises and muscle aches to see Linkin Park. They are wonderful!
By the way, the Rainmakers (that's the singing group I'm part of) mentor group, Lost in Transit (LiT) are performing at Actor's Studio Bangsar this Nov 7 & 8. I really think you should go cuz they're incredible to listen to...
Check out their pic...use it for your wallpaper! =)

Alternatively, you can check them out at LiT Performers

Pingu!
Teddy music: Nelly, P. Diddy & Murphy Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather
Haha...my daddy passed me a very early birthday prezzie an hour ago. He left it up to me to decide if I wanted to open it or leave it. I decided to leave it wrapped but I was so curious as to what's inside. I was feeling it all over, yknow, press here, squeeze there.
Anyway, after he gave the prezzie, it was dinnertime. After dinner, I came up and started feeling the present again...I was going to go downstairs and ask my daddy if it's something breakable when it suddenly hit me that just maybe, it was the 'Pingu' series! I already sort of knew that it couldn't be a book cuz it was too squarish to be one...then while 'feeling up' the prezzie, it felt like there was stack of CD casings...aha...I sorta guessed it was the 'Pingu' series I'd mentioned to my daddy a few days earlier.
Teddy music: Aaliyah - Try Again
You see, that day I was watching this sample 'Pingu' CD my youngest bro got with his K-Zone mag. It really brought back memories of watching CBBC (that's Children's British Broadcasting Corporation) back in Holland. I loved to watch 'Pingu'. Dunno why lar but it's still quite cute to watch. It's claymation...similar to the series "Wallace & Gromit" I was just talking to my daddy about how I might plan to buy the series for nostalgic reasons. Eheh...didn't expect him to buy it for me! =) I've really got a great daddy, eh?
Actually, 'Pingu' is a claymation series about a penguin named 'Pingu' (duh!) and it's actually targeted at pre-school kiddies but hey, I like watching it! =P Also, their speech is well, weird as in that it's not a proper language (I think lar cuz it doesn't make sense to me) but yet, you somehow still understand.
Go here to understand a bit more about Pingu or use search engines to find out more =)
I really want to open the prezzie but it's better I leave it still wrapped as I won't have time to watch the series yet either =(

Infernal Affairs II
Teddy music: Sister Hazel - Change Your Mind
Yay! Got to watch Infernal Affairs II on Sunday with my collegemates at Mid Valley...it's a great show although people were dying left, right and centre...but, hey, it was still a great show!
Shawn Yue is just so gorgeous...*sigh*...but I'm still addicted to Tony Leung Chiu-Wai =)
Carina Lau was interesting to watch...
There was a scene in the movie that really jolted me out of my seat...I won't spoil it here but I'll just say that it involved a car and a body. Heck, that's at least two scenes in the movie...so you'll just have to watch it for yourself.
In any case, I'm sleepy and wanna sleep! Nitez & teddy hugs

Tonight I'll be going to watch 'Infernal Affairs 2' with my college gang...hope it's a good movie... =)

Teddy music: Counting Crows - Big Yellow Taxi
Here's a link to all the pix I took at IACT's PromNite...enjoy!
I included pix of the roses I received cuz...I really like roses. In fact, red roses are my fave (yeh, I know it's really cliché but heck, to each his own!)

The Aftermath
Teddy music: Hilary Duff - So Yesterday
Whoa...today I woke up at 3pm. The latest I've gotten up for the past few months. Guess it's cuz I slept at 4am. Heh.
Anyways, my college's GradNite was a success! It was great fun. Took so many pictures that my digital camera's battery was near dead and the memory card was nearly full. Actually, it was full but I had to frantically delete the 'ugly' pictures and resize a few so there would be more room to take pictures of my class' performance and a few other pictures with other people. The total number of pictures I have is 90! Waaay more than last year's GradNite.
The whole thing ended about midnight plus and by the time everyone shoved off, it was nearly 1am. My friends (Sean, Jase, Darren, Erin, Carmen, Miew Teng, Ling, Wan Lee & BF, Kim) went to Cristro's in Hartamas for drinks. I only had a Berry Kiwi smoothie, which was pretty nice to slurp down after a busy night.
My feet are still aching from wearing high heels last night! But it was worth it. I got an award for Best Subject in Media Studies and I actually got a lucky draw prize! It was a messenger bag, notepaper holder, a cap, mousepad and 3 CDS (Atomic Kitten, Rock Ballads and Mega Hits 11). Also, the goodie bags were pretty...well, good! Haha...lots of nice freebies inside. =)
Well, thanks to my cellgroup for praying last week that my college's GradNite would go well cuz it was excellent and Creactive got to sell ALL the roses (and make a nice amount of $$)! I wish I had a picture of Penny's face when we gave her the 2 bunches of a dozen roses from Creactive & Student Council as well as later on when she got quite a lot of single roses from various students. She was like, "Aww...!" Hehe...it was so sweet to see her like that. =) Lurve ya, Penn!
Teddy music: O-Town - Liquid Dreams
Surprisingly, I got 4 roses. Wasn't really expecting to receive so it was nice to get them =). One each from Jasemaine, Rachel and Penny. Got another from Darren, Sean & Izal who tried to play a prank on me by writing the message that went something like, "Have a great grad nite. Meet me in the lobby at 11pm sharp. I need to talk to you. - Darren" The minute I read that I was like, "Something's funny" When I looked at the boys, they were laughing away, so obviously it's just a joke. In any case, since it was Darren's name, I definitely knew it's just a joke. But thanks anyway guys for a laugh.
I'll be posting up the pictures later. Gotta go do my e-Marketing assignment now! Wish me luck!
Oh yeh, thank God that when I went to see the doctor on Thursday about my ear, it turns out that the Eustachian tube (it balances the air pressure in your ears) of my right ear was blocked (due to a previous cold) so he just to me to chew gum to help unblock it and prescribed some pills and a decongestant. He also prescribed some antiviral cream for my finger that had that funny blister thingy that comes and goes.

Grumpy Bear
No teddy music
I'm feeling really grumpy. Don't ask why when I don't even know why.
My body is not in a good condition. My right ear is partially blocked (it's been more than 2/3 days already) for whatever damned reason. My left forefinger has this blister thingy at the the top joint so that it hurts everytime I bend my finger. Now on my right hand, between the ring finger and pinky finger, it stings like there's a papercut or something.
I think I'm having PMS. It's about this time too.
Blasted thing.
ARGH!

Linkin Park Tix
Teddy music: Blue Man Group ft. Dave Matthews - Sing Along
Today's one of my best friends' (and long time friend!) birthday. =)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELAINE!
I got 'scolded' for calling her at 9pm only. At least it still during your birthday, Elaine!
Anyways, here's some pix of the Linkin Park tix that came yesterday. Isn't it fantastic that Linkin Park's coming?
I'm over the moon! =)
Toys with my ticket! What are they doing?
I must say tho, the ticket design is rather blah...but who really cares if it'll get you into the stadium with Linkin Park, right? =)

Bodies All Around
Teddy music: Good Charlotte - Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous
I'm quite sleepy now. Thought must blog tho. =)
Anyways, went to Times Square with my mom. It was horrendous with the hordes of bodies moving around! I can't stand crowded places...really. Plus, it had noise pollution inside cuz the building is pretty empty and the sound system was all over the place. Add on the screams from the rollercoaster side and what do you get? Complete distraction.
We went to look at this shop (I think it's called 'Fortune') where the clothes are pretty cheap (and most of the clothes can't fit me...=( ). MY GOODNESS!! People have NO common sense at all, they just stand there in the tiny aisle and expect people to maneouvre around them! Madness, I tell you!
Besides, the parking bays were so full that we had to end up parking on the lowest bay (Bay 5). Geez, I am NOT going there again on the weekend...weekdays maybe, but definitely not weekends.
Teddy music: Sugababes - Stronger
In any case, I wanna thank God that I received an A for my Sales Promotion assignment. Heh, my lecturer quite the funny as he gave out freebies (a Nestle Milo mousepad!) to the 5 people who got As for their assignment. The top A got an added bonus of a...Nestle Milo T-shirt! =|
After my mum picked me up from college on Friday, we went to Homelife to buy bookshelves. I got 2 bookshelves and now my room looks SO much neater...yay...my texts now have a place to go and my excess fiction too! *Delirious teddy laughter*
Ah...I hear my bed calling me to sleep. Tomorrow I plan to go buy some new books, heard of Le Divorce? You may be familiar with the trailers for the movie version of the book that's coming soon. =)
By the way, the Linkin Park tickets arrived today...aaa...just waiting for that day to come!

Catch 22 Situation
Teddy music: Savage Garden - Crash & Burn
ARGH!!
I'm in a huge quandary now. To be more specific, it's more of a Catch 22 situation or what some others would call a Hobson's situation "Damned if you do, damned if you don't".
Why, you must be asking? Cuz I have to spend yet another day rotting away for 4.5 hours in between classes...the first class finishes at 10.30am, the next class only starts at 3pm.
The reason for this odd timing is that my Marketing Communications Research lectures have been move from its initial setting (Thursday 12-3pm) to Wednesday morning instead. Haih.
Teddy music: All Saints - Bootie Call
My dad just stopped in my room to give me RM100 Kinokuniya book vouchers...supposedly it's an early birthday prezzie. =)
In any case, I was discussing with my parents after dinner and it was really stupid cuz there's practically no way to kill those 4.5 hours without incurring any extra cost than necessary.
It's not being 'kiam siap' or anything, it's just that I don't wanna bring any extra trouble to my parents (e.g. having to pick me up from college then having to send me back again, going through toll 4 times at least).
Teddy music: Craig David - Hidden Agenda
In any case, since my dad gave me those book vouchers, I just may go down to KLCC after morning class...see my mood then.
Teedy music: Rockapella - Footloose
By the way, Penny (my lecturer) screened a movie entitled "May" in Cross Cultural Studies today. It's one freaky movie with gruesome scenes. Very bloody. VERY.
It's quite frightening to see the movie in a way cuz when you really think about it (this was also what Penn explained after the movie), society is fracturing faster than it can mend and more people end up in terrible situations. Penn did say that the movie was fictional BUT it could very well become a reality in today's society.
I won't spoil the storyline here cuz I think it's quite new (and I have a feeling that it may be censored/banned here). So, those of you interested in a gory movie, you can always ask me personally about the story. Heeh
