Homosexuality

Teddy music: Blue - If You Come Back

There's a current topic being discussed at the RBJ forum. It's about the question of whether people are born homosexual or if it's caused by their surrounding environment or if it's a mix of both. Here's the link if you want to go and read it.

Personally, as a Christian, I believe that it's wrong but I won't go around condemning people who are homosexuals. To go around doing that is just wrong in my book. I believe that everyone deserves respect regardless of who they are. Of course, I guess it's alright to sit down and talk (note the emphasis is on talk NOT scold/deride) to them nicely without sounding condescending or downright criticizing.

I mean, I know some people who are homosexuals and frankly, I think that they are fantastic people. Sometimes, they're so much more accepting of others when compared with "straight" people. The only thing that's different about them is their sexual preferences. Beyond that, they're just like you or me. If you cut them, do they not bleed? If you hurt them, does their heart not break? Tell me...

Teddy music: Garbage - Cherry Lips

In any case, let's move on from the heavy stuff. After cellgroup, a bunch of us went for some "makan" (that means a late night supper/snack for non-Malaysians) at a mamak stall. One of the members told this joke (it's slightly modified 'cuz I can't remember it exactly):

3 explorers went to explore the Sahara Desert. One was an American, another Chinese and the last one was a German. So, they were driving along in their jeep when it broke down. So, they were standing around their jeep wondering what to do. The American then said, "I'll go north to look for supplies and you two go east & west. Meet back at the jeep in two hours." The other two agreed and took off in their direction. The German went west and the Chinese went east. After two hours, the American and the German returned but the Chinese was nowhere to be seen. They waited three hours, then four hours. Worry began to set in so they decided to trek east to find out what happened to their colleague. After walking a distance, they saw the Chinese explorer's hat. "Oh my gosh, it's his hat! Where is he?" said the German. They kept walking and saw some bushes up ahead. Without warning, the Chinese explorer jumped out and yelled, "Supplies!!" (he meant surprise).

What do you think? Heh... =P

Well, today I gave my friend, Joy, a small going-away present. It's a teddy keychain and a handmade card. I'll miss her. She's leaving this Thursday and I still don't know if I can make it in time to see her off. I really hope that there's no night class that night!! *prays*

Right...so it's late and I should be sleeping...hehe

Teddy music: The Corrs - Winner Takes It All

Sighs...I'm so bored 'cuz I don't know what to do. But, I guess I won't be able to say that once my new semester starts as I predict a whole pile of work to coming landing on top of me. =)

Humans...never satisfied with their current situation...ah well, thus is life!

Ah yes, this Sunday I'm going to my church friend's BBQ at her condo...oooo...hahha. At least I can make it for this. I had to skip 2 BBQs 'cuz I was out of town. And, both of those BBQs were on consecutive nights!! Actually, come to think of it, maybe it's a good thing I skipped them in hindsight...I'd be horribly stuffed. Not good, not good. Hehe.

Yay, at least I have plans for Sunday night.

Now, who's up for Valentine's?? I'm still free...ehehehe... ;P

Hail The Mastermind Of Teddies!

Teddy music: Christina Aguilera - Dirrty

I went here to do this and got these results:

The Portrait of the Mastermind (iNTj)
Copyrighted © 1996-2003 Prometheus Nemesis Book Company.

Of the four aspects of strategic analysis and definition it is the contingency planning or entailment organizing role that reaches the highest development in Masterminds. Entailing or contingency planning is not an informative activity, rather it is a directive one in which the planner tells others what to do and in what order to do it. As the organizing capabilities the Masterminds increase so does their inclination to take charge of whatever is going on.

It is in their abilities that Masterminds differ from the other Rationals, while in most of their attitudes they are just like the others. However there is one attitude that sets them apart from other Rationals: they tend to be much more self-confident than the rest, having, for obscure reasons, developed a very strong will. They are rather rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population. Being very judicious, decisions come naturally to them; indeed, they can hardly rest until they have things settled, decided, and set. They are the people who are able to formulate coherent and comprehensive contingency plans, hence contingency organizers or "entailers."

Masterminds will adopt ideas only if they are useful, which is to say if they work efficiently toward accomplishing the Mastermind's well-defined goals. Natural leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command of projects or groups, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once in charge, however, Masterminds are the supreme pragmatists, seeing reality as a crucible for refining their strategies for goal-directed action. In a sense, Masterminds approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity. To the Mastermind, organizational structure and operational procedures are never arbitrary, never set in concrete, but are quite malleable and can be changed, improved, streamlined. In their drive for efficient action, Masterminds are the most open-minded of all the types. No idea is too far-fetched to be entertained-if it is useful. Masterminds are natural brainstormers, always open to new concepts and, in fact, aggressively seeking them. They are also alert to the consequences of applying new ideas or positions. Theories which cannot be made to work are quickly discarded by the Masterminds. On the other hand, Masterminds can be quite ruthless in implementing effective ideas, seldom counting personal cost in terms of time and energy.

Another description of INTJs...

Teddy music: Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland - Dilemma

Well, the trip to Tg. Jara Resort was really nice. Well, apart from the long car rides - 4 hours one way.

Apparently, the resort is listed as a SLH (small luxury hotel). Man, it was fantastic! I love the architectural design and layout. This is definitely the best resort I've stayed in. The service surpassed what I was expecting for a 5 star resort. I'd give it 6 stars!! =)

In actualy fact, there really isn't anything much to be done outside of the resort but if you're wanting to hide away for a while and relax, then it's perfect.

I just loved being there. If this is how the rich and/or famous live, well, I'm ready for it!! Hehe...

At the reception counter there was a mynah bird and it was so cute when it imitated sounds and phrases. Very cool.

Then, on Monday we were practically stuck in car all day as we drove from Tg. Jara (left at 8.30am) all the way to Singapore (to drop Kev back in his hostel) and then back to KL. Nearly non-stop driving with breaks for lunch, dinner and petrol. My dad is the greatest for driving such long hours! The worst part was when we got stuck on the highway near Seremban. Practically crawling along at 30-40 kph at 11pm plus. Grrr....

Teddy music: Marvin Gaye - What’s Going On?

Heh, I realised that this holiday, I really holidayed. Three family trips within the space of 2 months - Nepal, Kuching CNY trip and Tg. Jara. Not bad, at all.

Sighs...me wonders when I'll get to do this again as my semester holidays are usually uber short (usually around 1-2 weeks). It was so nice to be on holiday for 2 months...

Teddy music: Boomkat - The Wreckoning

Well, gonna be starting my new college semester in 5 more days.
